Chapter 41
Fu Yu didn’t expect Xiao Yi to comply and go home with him. As they entered the house, he quickly retrieved the first aid kit to tend to the minor cuts and scratches that Xiao Yi had sustained during the fight. Fortunately, the injuries were superficial, and the glass shards hadn’t penetrated the skin. Fu Yu breathed a sigh of relief.
Xiao Yi remained silent while Fu Yu disinfected his wounds, and the quiet living room was filled only with their light breathing.
“Done,” Fu Yu finally said after finishing the first aid. He asked Xiao Yi, who had kept his head down, “Is there anywhere else you’re injured?”
Xiao Yi finally looked at him, his dark eyes devoid of emotion, and replied, “You let her leave with another man just like that?”
Fu Yu took a moment to process which “her” Xiao Yi was referring to, and then he realized what the problem was. “You think I like Zhou Ying?”
Xiao Yi remained silent, effectively acknowledging the accusation.
Fu Yu was bewildered. “Is this why you broke up with me? Why didn’t you ask me about it instead?”
“I asked you twice. The day you first met her and the night you called me early, did you tell me?” Xiao Yi questioned.
Fu Yu was amazed. “You were monitoring me?”
“I had someone watch over you on your way to and from work, that’s all. I didn’t intentionally spy on you,” Xiao Yi explained bitterly. “I wish I never knew. You could have at least told me the truth.”
Fu Yu bit his lip and said, “I asked her for advice. I didn’t know how to explain it to you… But I promise you, Zhou Ying and I are just friends.”
Xiao Yi sneered, “Just like you and me?”
“What?” Fu Yu was puzzled.
“I don’t care about you anymore. I have plenty of friends. You…” Xiao Yi’s voice choked, and he couldn’t finish his sentence.
“Do you really want to end things like this, Fu Yu?” Xiao Yi asked softly, so softly that Fu Yu could barely hear. He was bewildered by Xiao Yi’s anger and the fight at the bar. If he truly didn’t care anymore, why did he become so angry?
Fu Yu crouched down and held Xiao Yi’s hand, pressing his lips to the back of it. He looked up at Xiao Yi with clear eyes and asked, “Do you really not care about me anymore?”
This was one of the skills Zhou Ying had taught him. If reasoning or making the other person angry didn’t work, he should try to be submissive and affectionate. Fu Yu had never used this technique before, and he was worried it might not work.
But Xiao Yi’s reaction proved that it was quite effective.
“What… are you doing?” Xiao Yi’s face, still filled with disappointment and pain, turned a bit comical as he was taken aback by Fu Yu’s sudden affectionate gesture.
Fu Yu straightforwardly said, “I don’t want to be just friends with you. I want to be in a relationship with you. Would you like that?”
Xiao Yi’s face showed some improvement when Fu Yu kissed him, but he quickly pulled his hand away, saying, “Don’t you understand? I don’t want this kind of relationship. You’re just feeling guilty; what’s the point? You don’t need to indulge me like this.”
Seeing that this approach wasn’t working, Fu Yu decided to employ another technique Zhou Ying had taught him. He stood up, propped one leg on the sofa, leaned in, and kissed Xiao Yi’s lips gently.
If being submissive didn’t work, take the initiative.
“I don’t enter relationships with people just out of guilt,” Fu Yu said, breaking the kiss.
Xiao Yi, his face filled with bewilderment and desire, stared at Fu Yu as if he had been enchanted. He seemed to have completely forgotten his anger and sadness and was captivated by the handsome man in front of him. In a subdued voice, he asked, “Is that because of me?”
“As I’ve said before, the day I went to the gym, I was actually thinking about agreeing to be with you. At that time, I didn’t feel guilty,” Fu Yu replied seriously.
Xiao Yi swallowed hard, gradually realizing the implications of Fu Yu’s words. He realized that something he had hoped for but never dared to expect was possibly happening. Fu Yu, however, didn’t quite catch the subtlety.
So Xiao Yi asked it for him. “Do you… like me?”
“Of course,” Fu Yu replied.
“What kind of like?”
“The kind of like that wants to be in a relationship with you.”
A spark ignited in Xiao Yi’s heart, turning a nearly dark and despairing inner world into a bright and brilliant one. He grabbed Fu Yu’s arm and pushed him onto the couch.
His heart raced, pounding in his chest, and his breathing quivered. Xiao Yi put his hands on either side of Fu Yu’s face, fixing his gaze on Fu Yu’s expression. He didn’t want to miss a single moment.
“Prove it to me,” he said urgently. “Prove it to me, and I’ll believe you.”
After a moment of hesitation, Fu Yu lifted himself slightly, reached out to Xiao Yi’s shoulders, and pressed his lips to Xiao Yi’s for a brief, soft kiss before pulling back.
“I’m not very experienced with kissing,” Fu Yu admitted, furrowing his brows in embarrassment. “But I like kissing you. Is that proof enough?”
Xiao Yi took a deep breath, suppressing the impulsive thoughts racing through his mind. “It’s proof! Why didn’t you tell me earlier?”
Fu Yu lowered his gaze. “I was afraid I wasn’t good enough for you. I discussed this with Zhou Ying when we met, and I planned to tell you once you returned to the country. But you said you wanted to break up, and I thought you had grown tired of me.”
“I was just talking nonsense; I was trying to make you angry,” Xiao Yi lamented. “What’s this about being good enough or not? As long as you have the slightest liking for me, I’m content.”
Fu Yu shook his head. “No, you’ve been so good to me, and I want to be just as good to you.”
Xiao Yi felt that burning sensation in his chest, and he was almost unable to hold back. “So, how much do you like me now?”
Fu Yu pondered for a few seconds and softly replied, “I can’t put it into words, but I think as long as I can be with you, I’ll give you whatever you want, and I’ll listen to whatever you say.”
Xiao Yi’s willpower, which he had prided himself on, was completely shattered. He held Fu Yu’s chin and kissed him passionately.
In this kiss, all the joys, sorrows, infatuation, and despair from all these years were mixed up, swirling within their lips and tongues, chaotic and frenzied. It turned into a scorching heat that made their hearts quiver.
He finally had this person, the one he had yearned for day and night. He had no energy to think about anything else, he just wanted to possess the person in front of him completely, making him his in both heart and body.
Fu Yu’s mouth was stirred up like a storm by Xiao Yi’s kiss. Xiao Yi’s kiss swept over his teeth, licked his upper palate, and twined around his tongue non-stop. It escalated, and Fu Yu’s whole body was ignited by this heat that coursed through his veins. He quickly became short of breath, and he tried to gently push Xiao Yi’s shoulder away, but today, Xiao Yi, who would usually relent, was unmoved. In fact, he pressed Fu Yu’s hand back onto the couch.
The saliva he couldn’t swallow in time flowed from the corners of his mouth, and Fu Yu, who had a slight obsession with cleanliness, vaguely thought that this might soil the couch. Subconsciously, he eagerly sucked on Xiao Yi’s tongue, trying to swallow all the fluids exchanged between their mouths.
Xiao Yi’s breath became even heavier and more chaotic. He pushed down on Fu Yu, making him release even more fluids, as if they were a transparent adhesive that clung their lips and tongues together.
At the moment when Fu Yu was almost suffocating, Xiao Yi finally released his lips and continued to kiss his slender neck and collarbone. His hands, not at rest, slipped beneath Fu Yu’s shirt, touching his cool and delicate skin.
“You’ll give me whatever I want, and you’ll listen to me?” Xiao Yi’s voice was hoarse and seductive. “What if I want you?”
Fu Yu felt the heat of Xiao Yi’s hand burning him and involuntarily shrank back a bit. Xiao Yi pressed him down and nibbled on his earlobe while sensually grinding against him. He breathed hotly into his ear.
“If I want you, will you give yourself to me?”
