Xu Yang lay on the bed, his arms wrapped around his waist, pulling him closer with each thrust. The desire beneath him collided with Xu Yang’s increasingly heated buttocks.
Waves of tingling pleasure forced Xu Yang to arch his hips backward, seeking more pleasure from the man’s brutal movements.
The bedsheet beneath them was already soaked with sweat and bodily fluids, sticky and clammy. The blanket lay haphazardly on the floor, a lonely testament to their “violence.”
Xu Yang couldn’t remember how he had fallen asleep, only that Bi Yuan had thrust forcefully, driving the hard object that had been erect all night deeper into his buttocks. Then, streams of hot liquid were ejaculated inside, leaving a sticky residue. The perverse pleasure of being internally ejaculated caused Xu Yang to climax as well, gasping heavily with “Ha, ha” sounds, before his vision went black and he fell into a deep sleep.
When he woke up again, he vaguely saw a faint light seeping through the curtains, unable to tell whether it was afternoon or morning. Xu Yang reached out to find his phone, but moving his body caused a weak, aching sensation, along with the strong heartbeat of the man lying behind him. For a moment, Xu Yang felt as though they were a couple who had been in love for years, sleeping in each other’s arms.
He struggled to sit up, reaching out to feel around on the low cabinet beside him, trying to find his phone to check the time. But the moment he lit up the screen, Xu Yang jumped out of bed.
“Damn it! What are you doing…” Startled awake by Xu Yang’s sudden movement, Bi Yuan glared at the young man, who was staring at his phone in horror. He reached out to pull the man back into his arms, but the man quickly pulled back the blanket and scrambled out of bed, frantically searching for his clothes.
“Where are you going?” Seeing the man run into the bathroom and come out a moment later wearing only white underwear, holding the clothes he had taken off, Bi Yuan asked in confusion.
Hearing Bi Yuan’s voice, Xu Yang had already woken up. He put on his pants but hadn’t had time to zip them up yet. He hurried to the bedside, knelt down, and looked urgently at Bi Yuan, who was sitting on the bed with disheveled hair and furrowed brows. The man looked like he hadn’t slept enough and gave him an annoyed look.
“Mr. Bi, could you please give me a ride? I have something very important to do, and I’m already running late!” At first, his voice was cautious, neither too loud nor too fast, afraid that speaking too quickly might make Bi feel like he was making a demand. But by the end, Xu Yang didn’t even notice that his voice had taken on a hint of a sob.
He choked out the rest of his words, his eyes fixed anxiously on Mr. Bi, afraid that he might cruelly refuse him. Earlier, he had reached out and grabbed a phone from the nearby low cabinet, not caring whose it was, and turned on the screen to check the time. When he saw “6:40” displayed on the screen, Xu Yang suddenly snapped back to reality.
Xu Yue’s surgery was scheduled for 7:30 AM on Tuesday. It was already 6:40 AM, leaving less than an hour until the surgery.
“Mr. Bi, please, there’s less than an hour left. Could you please give me a ride…” Seeing that Bi Yuan was still frowning, lost in thought, Xu Yang grew increasingly anxious. He couldn’t help but lean forward from where he was kneeling by the bed, one hand gripping the bedsheet, the other resting on Bi Yuan’s thigh, which was covered by the blanket.
This was the outskirts of the city, nearly 20 kilometers from the hospital. Not only were there no buses this early in the morning, but even if they took a taxi, factoring in the time to hail one, they might not make it in time for Xu Yuejin’s surgery. Thinking of this, Xu Yang couldn’t hold back any longer and burst into tears, sobbing softly on the bed.
Watching the man cry so sadly on the bed, Bi Yuan felt a mix of emotions. The man had never revealed why he needed money, but now he was so desperate for time that he was crying. Could this “important matter” be the reason he needed money?
“Hurry up and get dressed. Tell me where we’re going.” Unable to bear the sight of the man’s despairing tears, Bi Yuan, though filled with confusion, got up from the bed and picked up the shirt and trousers lying on the sofa.
“Mr. Bi…” Xu Yang looked up in surprise, hearing Bi Yuan say something. Watching Bi Yuan get out of bed and stand beside him, dressing himself, Xu Yang’s mind couldn’t keep up.
Was this his way of agreeing to accompany him part of the way?
“What are you standing there for? Get dressed quickly!” He grabbed Xu Yang’s shirt from the sofa and threw it at him, covering his head.
Perhaps because Mr. Bi had slept, his hair no longer looked as meticulously styled with gel as it did during the day. Instead, it hung loosely and smoothly over his head, making Xu Yang feel that Mr. Bi didn’t seem as intimidating as usual.
He pulled off the shirt covering his head, quickly got dressed, slung his lightweight backpack over his shoulder, walked to the door, looked at Bi Yuan, and said earnestly, “Thank you, Mr. Bi.” Then he led the way to the elevator.
On the way, Xu Yang kept checking his phone nervously and didn’t talk to Mr. Bi. He checked the time every minute or two.
They left the hotel at almost 7 o’clock, which was rush hour. The road was full of people rushing from the suburbs to the city center for work. Xu Yang was anxious, worried that he wouldn’t make it to the operating room to see Xu Yue before her surgery.
Xu Yang didn’t speak, and Bi Yuan remained silent as well, each lost in their own thoughts.
Earlier, in his haste, he hadn’t even checked out of the room before rushing to the parking lot. After getting into the car and fastening his seatbelt, Xu Yang hurriedly mentioned the name of the hospital, which surprised Bi Yuan.
The first time he had taken Xu Yang back was near the park next to the hospital, and the second time they had met to sign the agreement was also at the small park near the hospital. In the previous two instances, Bi Yuan hadn’t made the connection to the hospital, but this time, when Xu Yang directly mentioned the hospital’s name, Bi Yuan finally pieced everything together.
Could it be that Xu Yang needed money because of this hospital? Was someone sick and in need of a large sum of money?
Xu Yang didn’t say a word on the way, so Bi Yuan quietly observed him out of the corner of his eye. The anxiety on that person’s face was something Bi Yuan had never seen before.
He had seen Li Mu look anxious before, and he had seen his two sisters look anxious, but he had never seen anyone as anxious as Xu Yang, with cold sweat on his face and his phone being repeatedly turned on and off in his hand. Judging by his expression, if there were a teleportation gate in this world, Xu Yang would probably want to open it right now and be transported to his destination with a “whoosh.”
What could possibly be causing this seemingly timid man to be so anxious?
Bi Yuan silently pressed harder on the accelerator.
7:23.
When Bi Yuan parked the car at the hospital entrance, he glanced at Xu Yang’s lit-up phone screen, which clearly displayed the time. Before he could say anything, Xu Yang opened the car door and dashed toward the hospital building like an arrow.
Bi Yuan took a moment to park the car and caught up with Xu Yang, who was repeatedly pressing the up button in the elevator lobby, as if trying to punch a hole through it.
“Xu Yang, calm down! Pressing the button like that won’t make the elevator come down!” Closing took Xu Yang’s hand, which was still pressing the elevator button, and held it tightly in his own. He could clearly feel Xu Yang’s hand trembling.
Who was it that made Xu Yang so completely and utterly display his anxiety, fear, and despair? Closing felt a little uneasy.
Xu Yang was immersed in his own world and didn’t notice that Bi Yuan’s mood had suddenly dropped. He didn’t even see that his eyes, which were usually as sharp as an eagle’s, had a hint of inexplicable melancholy.
“Make way! The patient needs to go to the emergency operating room! Make way!” The lead nurse blocked Xu Yang, who was about to rush inside.
Once the bed was completely pushed out, Bi Yuan tried to pull Xu Yang into the elevator, but his hand was suddenly shaken off by Xu Yang.
“You…” Before he could finish speaking, he saw Xu Yang chasing after the bed that had just been pushed out, disappearing around the corner.
After finally catching up to Xu Yang, he looked up and saw the “Surgery in Progress” light turn on. Xu Yang, who was only two meters away, was sitting dejectedly on the ground, while an elderly woman beside him was comforting him: “Don’t worry, Xiao Yue will come out safely…”
Who was Xiao Yue? Was Xu Yang’s tension and anxiety because of her? Had he agreed to make the short film for her sake?
Lighting a cigarette, he watched the smoke rise and thought: If one day he were to fall seriously ill, would anyone worry about him the way Xu Yang worried about Xiao Yue?
