Qingqing’s life didn’t have grand ambitions. Initially, he just wanted to leave his remote hometown, experience the glamour of the big city, but got ensnared by its material allure. Later, he left with a broken heart, ultimately hoping for nothing more than for his family to stay together forever.
Regarding marriage, he once had a strong desire for it, even resorting to many degrading acts in pursuit of it, yet it remained elusive.
After recognizing his mistakes, he thought that someone with his past didn’t deserve happiness. However, he never imagined that fate would favor him so much.
His eyes were warm and moist as Qingqing softly asked, “Are you really… sure it’s me?”
“Of course.” Wen Shu kissed his forehead. “I like you.”
“I want to spend my whole life with you.”
