Seeing what Canmo Wuhen had posted in world chat, Lian Fei Er was somewhat stunned. She hadn’t expected Canmo Wuhen to suddenly say “the losing side disbands.” She had only treated this as an ordinary guild war, but it turned out she had been set up.
But even if she wanted to back out now, it was already too late. The system had automatically confirmed the war agreement, and the fight would officially begin at 8 p.m. tomorrow night. Moreover, Canmo Wuhen had spoken first, and she accepted after—no one would believe she had been tricked.
‘World’ [Ting Zhe You Xin]: Wow, god-tier player! Screenshot, screenshot!
‘World’ [Ba Gua Xiao Fen Dui]: I always knew Tian Feng Ya Ge and Zhan Ming Hall would clash sooner or later. Before, they were still restrained because of Shen Xi’s face, but now that Shen Xi is gone, Tian Feng Ya Ge has nothing to worry about.
‘World’ [Xiao Nian Zi]: By the way, why are Tian Feng Ya Ge and Zhan Ming Hall fighting?
‘World’ [Yi Ji Zheng Luo]: It’s because Zhan Ming Hall’s Die Meng Xin Zui deliberately ruined Bai Cao Zhe’s daily dungeon and insulted him. Zhan Ming Hall’s “guild leader’s wife” then brought people to argue, but instead of resolving anything, she accused Tian Feng Ya Ge of bullying newcomers and implied Shen Xi was ungrateful and jealous of Lian Fei Er. Now Tian Feng Ya Ge is unhappy, so a guild war is inevitable.
‘World’ [Xiang Ri Kui]: They provoked us first. If Tian Feng Ya Ge doesn’t respond, wouldn’t that make our guild look powerless?
‘World’ [Feng Xiao Xiao]: So that’s how it is. Ruining dungeons like that really is disgusting.
‘World’ [Fu Jia Hong Niang]: What the hell! A guild war? Did anyone even ask our opinion?
While the world chat was buzzing, people from Zhan Ming Hall also spoke up.
‘World’ [Wu Mei Qian Lan]: Who agreed to this? Picking a fight with Tian Feng Ya Ge is just asking for trouble.
‘World’ [Ju Hua Gu Niang]: Die Meng Xin Zui started it, yes, but we’re innocent. Why should we fight for one troublemaker?
Xia Zichen looked at Canmo Wuhen’s words and felt the stakes were a bit too high. He wasn’t worried about Tian Feng Ya Ge, but Zhan Ming Hall would be troublesome.
“What does this mean?” An Jing turned and asked in disbelief. He had just done a dungeon, and now everything had escalated this far?
“Lian Fei Er initiated a guild war. Jian Lang agreed,” Xia Zichen said directly.
“Damn, that woman’s insane?” An Jing yelled.
Shen Yi Cheng also frowned, clearly not expecting Lian Fei Er to go this far.
Xia Zichen didn’t explain further and directly sent screenshots of the chat to the three of them.
“What else can that woman do besides cause trouble?” An Jing kicked the table in anger. “And if we lose tomorrow… does the guild really disband?”
Xia Zichen didn’t respond. In truth, although Canmo Wuhen had said it, whether Zhan Ming Hall would actually disband was not something he particularly cared about. That wager was more of a guarantee—so Lian Fei Er couldn’t back out later, and also to show how serious Tian Feng Ya Ge was.
‘World’ [Lian Fei Er]: This guild war concerns Zhan Ming Hall as a whole. Those unwilling to fight can leave. No one is forcing you.
‘World’ [Wu Mei Qian Lan]: Who do you think you are? You accept a guild war without asking anyone, and now you want us to clean up your mess?
‘World’ [Ju Hua Gu Niang]: Exactly. We’re not here to revolve around you. Zhan Ming Hall was fine before you came.
‘World’ [Lian Fei Er]: If you don’t want to stay, then leave. Nobody begged you to remain. Without you, the guild would be quieter anyway.
World chat kept arguing. Xia Zichen glanced at the three people in the room and saw them all frowning as they watched the screen—guild chat was probably just as chaotic.
‘Guild’ [Ao Jiao Nai Ma]: Zhan Ming Hall is shameless, even calling in allied guilds.
‘Guild’ [Tan Lan De Xue Xing]: Who cares where they came from. Just kill them. Free points.
‘Private’ [Shen Xi]: You guys aren’t joining the guild war?
Soon, a reply came from Wu Mei Qian Lan.
‘Private’ [Wu Mei Qian Lan]: God healer, we’ve already left the guild!
‘Private’ [Shen Xi]: ?
This was unexpected, though also somewhat within expectations.
‘Private’ [Wu Mei Qian Lan]: Lian Fei Er went too far. We’re here to play games, not to be her subordinates. After what she said yesterday, I feel like Zhan Ming Hall isn’t what it used to be, so we left.
‘Private’ [Shen Xi]: I understand.
‘Private’ [Wu Mei Qian Lan]: Some people might think we’re disloyal, but no one could tolerate continuing to serve under her.
‘Private’ [Shen Xi]: I just didn’t see you on the battlefield, so I asked.
‘Private’ [Wu Mei Qian Lan]: We were going to tell you after the fight. Good luck.
‘Private’ [Shen Xi]: Alright.
The mood wasn’t as heavy as expected. In Xia Zichen’s mind, he had probably already expected that Wu Mei Qian Lan’s group would eventually leave. A guild’s success wasn’t built by one person, and its downfall couldn’t be caused by one either.
As he was thinking, a squad from Zhan Ming Hall suddenly flanked from the right.
Xia Zichen looked closely—the leader was Tang Hui, with Shen Ye Qian Xing, two DPS, and a healer. They were clearly here to break the flag defense.
“They’re here,” Gu Xu said to him.
Xia Zichen had not joined voice chat; Gu Xu was on it and simply relayed instructions to him.
“Kill their healer first.”
Canmo Wuhen nodded and immediately targeted the enemy healer. Tian Feng Ya Ge DPS also focused fire. Canmo Wuhen then shifted targets to Tang Hui and An Jing—they were the main threats.
An Jing and Tang Hui knew Shen Xi’s playstyle. Focus-firing Shen Xi would not work, especially with Canmo Wuhen covering him, so they switched to the opposing healer instead.
Since Shen Xi wasn’t in their sub-party, AoE healing didn’t reach him, so he had to rely on single-target heals. The opposing healer also responded well, attacking back to disrupt them, even if the damage was low.
Soon, Canmo Wuhen switched again and landed an AoE that killed the enemy healer and one DPS instantly.
The group split into two sides. Shen Xi and Canmo Wuhen handled Shen Ye Qian Xing and Huang Hun An Sha; the others engaged the remaining enemies.
Shen Xi didn’t kite far. Instead, he stayed within healing range of Canmo Wuhen, circling the battlefield and healing him continuously. Whenever Canmo Wuhen’s cooldown was ready, he coordinated control skills to pull enemies into Shen Xi’s range.
After repeated exchanges, reinforcements from Zhan Ming Hall were blocked outside the battlefield. Eventually, Huang Hun An Sha’s HP dropped to zero, and he collapsed. Shen Ye Qian Xing was then focused down and killed as well.
‘Nearby’ [Shen Ye Qian Xing]: Xiao Shen Shen, you really don’t show any mercy.
‘Nearby’ [Huang Hun An Sha]: Shen Xi has already “married out.”
‘Nearby’ [Shen Xi]: …
Neither of them revived after dying, seemingly uninterested in continuing the guild war.
The system announcement soon followed:
Tian Feng Ya Ge, under the leadership of Guild Leader “Jian Lang,” successfully planted its flag atop Zhan Ming Hall’s guild hall. Guild war concluded. Tian Feng Ya Ge wins.
‘Nearby’ [Xiang Ri Kui]: We won, haha! Guild leader, reimburse our repair costs!
‘Nearby’ [Yi Ji Zheng Luo]: I checked—only god-tier players and god-tier healer looked relaxed. The rest of us were exhausted.
‘Nearby’ [Ao Jiao Nai Ma]: Calling allied guilds to help? That’s just dirty. Otherwise we would’ve finished faster.
Afterward, everyone dispersed.
‘Private’ [Shen Xi]: Who was defending their flag?
‘Private’ [Shen Ye Qian Xing]: Yi Cheng and Lian Fei Er’s friend group.
‘Private’ [Shen Xi]: …you really know how to assign teams.
Back then, even in their PvP matches, they had been wiped easily. Putting Lian Fei Er in charge of defense was simply a mistake.
“Do you really want Zhan Ming Hall to disband?” Xia Zichen asked.
“It doesn’t matter if it disbands,” Gu Xu smiled. “I can trade it for you.”
“Hmm?” Xia Zichen didn’t understand.
“Move in with me,” Gu Xu said, looking at him seriously. There wasn’t even a trace of joking in his eyes.
Xia Zichen was momentarily speechless, unsure whether to agree or refuse.
