Chapter: Extra 3

This entry is part 97 of 122 in the series I Only Like Your Made-up Persona

“Daybreak.”

Light flooded the room as the narrator’s voice echoed once more. “Player 7, Zhao Ke, died last night. No final words.”

Zhao Ke exited the stage. Xia Xique scanned the expressions of the remaining players, already reading them like an open book.

“The Sheriff designates the speaking order.”

Xia Xiuqing pointed toward Xia Xiuze’s position.

“Now, starting from Player 8, Xia Xiuze, seated to the left of the deceased.”

Xia Xiuze paused briefly. “As the first to speak… Hmm, last night, Brother Zhao Ke was killed by a knife. Could it be that Brother Sui Rui was a civilian who left? Are the werewolves actually trying to slaughter the villagers? I think the good players here still need to keep their identities hidden. Slaughtering the good players at the edge of the game gives us no advantage, and we still don’t know which two people are paired as lovers.”

After speaking, Xia Xiuze remembered something else. “When Brother Sui left yesterday, he said something that made me feel he wasn’t entirely trustworthy. He insisted that Xia Zhixu was a werewolf… Cough. Brother Zhixu is a true werewolf—I’ll concede that since he was the first to jump the seer. But he wasn’t sure whether the sheriff who jumped with him was a villager or a werewolf. If Brother Sui was really the seer, that logic doesn’t hold up. Plus, he ended with, ‘Let’s see how you good guys play this.’”

“You good guys?” Xia Xiuze frowned. “Is that some kind of explosive revelation? What if he was actually a wolf who left, wearing the Prophet’s clothes? So I think Brother Sui Rui’s identity still needs verification. I’ll listen to Brother Zhi Xu’s statement first. After hearing his, I can judge Brother Sui Rui’s identity. Pass.”

Zhou Ziheng glanced at Xia Xiqing. Xia Xiqing knew he was sizing him up and flashed him a dazzling smile in return.

“My turn. This situation just got weird again. From Shang Sirui’s perspective, aside from the fact that it doesn’t make sense for him to target Zhixu but not Xiqing at the end, the logic leading up to that point actually holds water.”

“If he’s the real Prophet, it makes perfect sense: he checked Xiu Ze in the first round, didn’t find anything, and didn’t want to reveal his identity prematurely. He wanted to save himself for another round to check someone else. Plus, later when he voted for me as the Guardian, that was also calculated—because he knew Xiqing wasn’t the real Prophet. If that’s the case, then Xi Qing’s identity becomes questionable. If you’re truly a good person stepping forward to shield the Seer, why did you ultimately vote for the Seer yourself?”

Xia Xiqing smiled indifferently, seemingly unconcerned by Zhou Ziheng’s doubts.

“I suspect Zhao Ke is a blindfolded villager. If Shang Sirui is a villager, then the wolves only need to find the last villager to win. But I believe Shang Sirui has a hidden role; otherwise, he wouldn’t have been so aggressive on Day 1, confronting both people who claimed to be the Seer.”

He turned to face Xia Xiuze. “Xiuze, your suspicion of Shang Sirui is reasonable. But since you sided with him both rounds, I still need to lightly mark you. This round, I think we should tear the police badge first. I don’t believe Shang Sirui is a villager disguised as the Seer. He wouldn’t need to shield the Seer from the knife anymore. Pass.”

Xia Zhixu smiled. “Yesterday’s death was Zhao Ke. Honestly, I lean toward the wolves not targeting Xia Xiqing to frame him. Shang Sirui calling me a wolf proves he’s a true wolf. I’m definitely not one. If I were, I’d have fought tooth and nail during the police election. Shang Sirui didn’t even verify my identity before branding me a wolf—why didn’t he do the same to Xia Xiqing? He can’t pull off the seer’s disguise.”

“Of course, now I’m starting to doubt the Sheriff as the Seer too. But if the Sheriff isn’t the Seer, and Si Rui isn’t either, then there’s another Seer?” Xia Zhixu chuckled. “I don’t think that’s possible. Xiu Ze should be a good guy. Even though he took sides, I feel his statements were all made from a good guy’s perspective. As for his identity, I won’t speculate—otherwise, I’d be playing into the werewolves’ hands.”

He glanced at Zhou Ziheng. “As for Ziheng… he’s consistently spoken like a good guy. I can’t tell either. Maybe he’s a high-level player playing the wolf.” He leaned back in his chair, smiling at Zhou Ziheng. “Just reasonable speculation. Anyway, I’m a blindfolded player. This vote… I’m not sure. Might listen some more. Pass.”

Xu Qichen had kept his head slightly bowed until Xia Zhixu spoke, then lifted his gaze. “I told you—I’m the real Seer.” He turned calmly to Xia Zhixu. “Last night I checked Player 1’s card. It was a kill.”

Xia Zhixu’s eyes widened as he stared at him.

“Let me walk you through my thought process. First night, I checked Zhou Ziheng. Simple reason: he’s a skilled player. I needed to see friend or foe. But it turned out to be a gold water—wasted a night’s check. I was debating whether to jump as Seer during the day and report my check.”

He paused, glancing at Xia Zhixu. “Then Xia Zhixu was the first to reveal as Seer during the day.”

Xia Zhixu… Xia Xiqing nearly burst out laughing. It seemed Chen Chen was taking this seriously—even using the full name.

“He was the first to claim Seer, which immediately raised red flags for me. Even though he gave himself a plausible excuse—that he was trying to trick Xiqing into revealing his identity—I had very little time to decide. I had to speak right after he finished. I hesitated then: should I stand up and report my investigation as a kill, or reveal my true investigation? But I couldn’t gamble, because this was a borderline slaughter game.”

“If Xia Zhixu was good, my jumping to report the kill for him could have cost us both our good guy status.” Xu Qichen glanced at the others before continuing, “If he was a wolf, failing to bluff out Xi Qing but bluffing me out instead would have rendered the Seer card useless.”

“That’s why I ultimately didn’t reveal myself. I claimed to be a card preventing counter-jumps, and I knew Xia Zhixu was a fake Seer. So I didn’t believe his kill order targeting Xia Xiqing. Why did I back down? Because Zhou Ziheng’s speech was flawless and utterly convincing. He’s my golden water. Giving him the badge seemed acceptable for now. If I hadn’t backed down, it would have split the votes, and with no one else jumping, I’d have had to reveal my identity and play the villain.”

At this point, Xu Qichen chuckled again. “Of course, I didn’t expect the Sheriff role to go to Ziheng in the end. Probably because Xiqing’s words were just too convincing.”

Xia Xiqing mentally waved his hands repeatedly. My words? How could they be as convincing as yours? No wonder you’re a novelist—you’ve got a whole repertoire for deceiving people. You can spin any story to make it fit.

Shang Sirui must be furious watching from the sidelines. The entire room was ganging up on him, and now Xu Qichen had twisted his inner monologue into a flawless narrative.

“Earlier, Xia Zhixu said, ‘I won’t reveal anyone else’s identity—doing so would just help the wolves.’ That was clearly a backhanded way to expose the wolves. It’s like shouting ‘There’s no silver here!’ to draw attention.”

Xu Qichen remained composed, scanning the room. “Let me reiterate: I am the only genuine Seer here. We must eliminate Player 1, Xia Zhixu, this round. With him gone, the good guys still have a chance. Regardless of Cupid’s matchups, we must prioritize eliminating the wolves first.”

He then turned to Xia Xiqing, radiating righteous indignation. “I don’t care if you have the badge, but your vote must align with mine. Next round, I’ll verify Xiqing’s identity. But without the badge in my possession, I can’t account for its whereabouts. That’s all for now. The bottom line is we must eliminate Iron Wolf #1. My statement is concluded.”

With that, the floor passed to Ruan Xiao, Number 3. Her expression grew solemn as she struggled to gather her thoughts. “Four people claimed to be the Seer this round. At least two of them are wolves.”

She hesitated. “These four players’ statements… Honestly, when Xu Qichen claimed to be the Seer at first, I didn’t believe him. But his explanation of his thought process was too coherent—it didn’t sound improvised.”

Ruan Xiao, did you forget he’s the scriptwriter? Xia Xicheng was delighted inside. You can say anyone else can’t improvise, but how could a scriptwriter not know how to improvise?

“His speech earlier was logically consistent and sounded like a good player. I listened carefully and could find almost no flaws. If I were the Seer and hadn’t identified any werewolves on the first night, I’d likely be in the same predicament.” I’ve always found the other soothsayers untrustworthy. Shang Sirui wore the soothsayer’s clothes when he left, but as Brother Xiu Ze said, why did he only suspect Number 1 and not Number 5? From his perspective, both were clearly wolf-jumpers.”

After speaking, she looked at Xia Xiqing. “Whether the Sheriff can hold onto his soothsayer role now… I think we’ll see once he speaks. Anyway, I don’t trust Xia Zhixu as the Seer. I’ve always suspected he might be a werewolf who jumped ship and then retreated to cover his tracks. This round, my vote goes to Number 1. As for the first night, Peace Night… the Witch… Forget it, better not reveal the Witch yet. It’s unclear how many gods are involved now, but Poison and Medicine can be used tonight. Pass.”

Yang Bo spoke up, “Honestly, everyone’s arguments sound so convincing.”

His words drew laughter from the entire room.

“Seriously, after hearing one person speak, I’d think ‘Wow, that’s exactly it! They’re right!’ But then the next person would make me feel the same way, and I’d just be confused. Who’s actually telling the truth here? My brain capacity is limiting my ability to process this.”

Yang Bo rubbed his head. “Anyway, after listening to everyone, I think I can trust the person claiming to be a god. As for the Sheriff and the new Prophet, I’m not sure who to believe yet. Ziheng says he’s a god but won’t reveal his identity. I’ll listen to the Sheriff for now, then decide whether to vote with the Sheriff or with Qichen.”

Xia Xiqing glanced at Yang Bo and smiled. “Finished?”

“Done.”

“Then I’ll speak. My statement is crucial—it will decide this round’s fate.” Xia Xiqing propped his chin on his left hand, his eyes sweeping the field as he smiled. “I’m a wolf. I’m not the Seer. Don’t rush—I’m not done. I… will become the first wolf in history to carry the good guys.”

After finishing, Xia Xiqing leaned back in his chair. “Xia Zhixu is my wolf teammate. Shang Sirui is also my wolf teammate.”

The expressions on several faces in the room turned distinctly awkward. Xia Xiqing chuckled. “Didn’t see that coming, did you?” He pointed at Shang Sirui’s empty seat. “He’s the wolf. When he left, he was spilling everything—calling you all good guys. I lost my cool right then. That kid’s speech was a complete disaster from start to finish. I still don’t understand how he could perform so poorly today. As for my other teammate…”

Xia Xiqing turned to Xia Zhixu, his face softening into a gentle smile. “Honestly, I’m not sure if I should even call him a teammate. After all, he ran off with some other guy behind my back.”

The expressions on everyone’s faces were priceless. Xia Xiqing tilted his head to look at Zhou Ziheng, his smile turning sly. “Right, other guy?”

“Isn’t the situation on the field obvious? Come on, let me walk you through the logic step by step. First, two wolves went to the police, one wolf retreated. Originally, Shang Sirui undercover wanted to split votes for me, but Xia Zhixu issued a kill order, making it impossible for me to fully establish my identity. Shang Sirui dared not vote for me, so he voted for Zhou Ziheng to secure his own position.”

“Truth is, he aimed to pin two fake seers to solidify the good guys while luring out the real seer. It was a clever play, but who knew the real seer would stay so calm? All our bluffing just made us wolves look like seers. Shang Siwei panicked and slipped up during his speech, getting pushed out.” When the whole crowd turned on him, I didn’t dare defend him. I quickly voted to distance myself from any suspicion.”

Finishing, he turned to Xia Zhixu. “When you first investigated and killed me, I didn’t suspect you at all—it was exactly the kind of move you’d make. But then Zhou Ziheng actually pulled you back. Zhou Ziheng is a good guy. His analysis alone was enough; he had no reason to save you. Plus, you were openly claiming to be a villager. This round was clearly a ‘protect the seer’ scenario—why would Zhou Ziheng save you? That’s when my suspicions kicked in. Either Zhou Ziheng is Cupid, or he’s your lover.”

“On the first night, I faked my own death to trick the antidote.” Xia Xiqing shifted the focus. If he mentioned stabbing someone on the second night, he might slip up. He smoothly redirected the conversation to the first night. “The witch saved me without any principles,” he turned to Xia Xiuze with a smile, “It was you, wasn’t it?”

Xia Xiuze’s mouth hung open slightly, a hint of hurt visible. He never imagined his antidote would be swindled by his own brother—and with such utter nonchalance.

Werewolf has no room for family ties.

“And you sided with me throughout the game, which only solidified my belief you were the Witch. After all, I was the one who gave you the silver water—of course you’d back me.” He then turned to look at Ruan Xiao. “You’re a villager. Zhao Ke is a villager too. Yang Bo has been pretending for so long—he’s probably Cupid.”

“Last round, you mentioned Cupid just to clear yourself of suspicion and remind the couples you’d paired up that it was time to act, right? You’ve been playing dumb all this time just to whitewash yourself and stay until the end.”

After you mentioned Cupid, Zhou Ziheng and Xia Zhixu finally started coordinating. They even tricked me into killing Zhao Ke, otherwise the werewolves wouldn’t have suffered such a bloody defeat this round. Plus, during this round of speeches, they clearly started subtly attacking each other to divert suspicion away from the werewolf romance.”

Finally, he turned to Xu Qichen. “I was wondering why this game’s Seer was so patient. Then you stepped forward yourself, and sure enough, you verified my werewolf teammate.” He looked at Xia Zhixu. “Logically, with my werewolf teammate Xia Zhixu being investigated and killed to this extent, plus me staying silent the entire game, you should have self-exposed and gone straight into the night.”

Xia Xiqing chuckled. “But you didn’t dare.”

“You absolutely wouldn’t dare self-destruct because you’re in a werewolf romance. If you leave, your wild man has to go too. Si Rui figured out you were in a werewolf romance too, which is why he stomped on you when he left, pushing everyone to vote you out instead of attacking my identity. Because I’m the only wolf teammate he can trust.”

After saying this, Xia Xiqing spread his hands. “Now you understand, right? Anyway, I’d rather the good guys win than let the werewolf-human romance win. This round, everyone pushed my wolf teammate Xia Zhixu out. After pushing him, I immediately self-destructed and tore off my police badge,” he said, pointing at Xia Zhixu, “If I don’t self-destruct later, I’ll call him ‘Uncle.’ After Xia Zhixu leaves, Zhou Ziheng will definitely have to die too. If he doesn’t die, I’ll call him ‘Uncle.’”

“Once I self-destruct and night falls, Witch,” he patted Xia Xiuze’s shoulder, “you’ll administer Cupid’s poison, got it? Otherwise, your other vial’s useless. Once you poison them, you win—all wolves dead, and the Werewolf Lover dead too. I’ll carry the good guys this round. Pass.”

After the announcement, the arena fell silent for a moment. The voiceover sounded once more.

“Next, players, please begin the elimination vote.”

“Player 1, Xia Zhixu, and Player 9, Zhou Ziheng, voted for Player 5, Xia Xiqing. Player 4, Yang Bo, abstained. The remaining three players voted for Xia Zhixu.” The narrator paused. “Xia Zhixu and Zhou Ziheng are both eliminated.”

The two stood up. Xia Zhixu glared at Xia Xiqing in indignation. Xia Xiqing shrugged and chuckled, “Blast.”

“Player #5, Xia Xiqing, self-detonates. The night phase begins immediately.”

“Close your eyes as night falls.”

“Werewolves, open your eyes. Werewolves, make your kill.”

Xu Qichen held up an eight, not even opening his eyes.

“Werewolves, close your eyes. Witch, open your eyes.”

“Witch, he died tonight. You have one vial of antidote. Do you wish to use it? You have one vial of poison. Whom do you wish to poison?”

“Seer, open your eyes. Whom do you wish to investigate tonight?” The narrator paused. “His identity is this.”

“Daybreak.”

Light flooded the room once more, and everyone opened their eyes.

“Game over.”

The players waited for further announcements, while Xia Xiqing celebrated prematurely in the monitoring room.

Seeing Xu Qichen’s smile, he knew victory was assured. Their improvised strategy had worked!

“The Werewolf faction wins!”

The bullet comments offered a god’s-eye view, capturing every detail of the match.

[6666666 The Werewolf team is godlike! Their charge and hook combo was flawless!]

[Xiqing identifying the wolf was pure genius!!! So cool!]

[The scriptwriter dude has maxed out his lying skills! I’m so jealous of people like that. Whenever I lie, I end up fidgeting with my hair or neck. But when the scriptwriter speaks, he gives off this vibe that he must be a good guy, hahaha.]

[Xi Qing forced Shang Sirui into the wolf costume hahaha, must’ve blown a fuse backstage hahaha.]

[I thought the wolf team would lose—they had zero advantage this round! Absolutely brilliant, true pros! Xi Qing’s pacing was off the charts at the end, his logic flowed so smoothly it was impossible to doubt.]

[Did Xiqing play so ruthlessly because of the self-sacrifice-werewolf romance? Hahahaha. Poor Hengheng got the worst of it, hahaha.]

[Xiqing had a self-sacrifice buff—he exploited everyone’s instinctive belief that his self-sacrifice was genuine. Who’d have thought he’d save a teammate?]

[Cupid’s team lost because Cupid didn’t play right. That role is all about stirring the pot—they had a huge advantage to win!]

[Witch Brother is too cute! He came in to save his brother, only to get tricked over and over. No family love in Werewolf, hahaha.]

[Yang Bo is totally me, hahaha. Blindfolded players believe everything they hear.]

[Why do I feel like Player 1 and the scriptwriter are totally a thing? Their chemistry is off the charts.]

[Xu Qing cracking up over “wild men” had me laughing so hard I nearly choked, hahaha. He was flirting with Hengheng the whole time—even when Hengheng was clearly flustered, he kept it up.]

[The scriptwriter and Xi Qing are total cult leaders. Even with my god’s-eye view, I almost got brainwashed by them. If Xi Qing and the scriptwriter hadn’t teamed up to push Zhi Xu out, the Werewolf Romance faction would’ve won this round.]

And just like that, the game ended—the wolves won. Ruan Xiao looked utterly bewildered at first, then suddenly snapped to attention. “There’s still one wolf left! Who’s the last wolf?”

Xu Qichen raised his hand, smiling like a kitten. “Me.”

“You?” Ruan Xiao couldn’t believe it. “Ah! The moment I heard the wolves won, I knew Xi Qing had tricked me! But I thought Yang Bo was the wolf—he deliberately dressed him up as Cupid. So it was you!” Ruan Xiao was so furious she nearly slammed her fist on the table. She turned to Xiu Ze and demanded, “Xiao Ze, what the hell happened to you last night?”

“Brother lied to me!” Xia Xiuze slumped over the table like a lifeless shell. “Last night when I opened my eyes, God told me I was dead. I went crazy—how could I be dead? That’s when I realized Brother had deceived me. He wasn’t the last wolf at all. I panicked. Before he left, he told me to poison Cupid. That was probably a lie too. But I couldn’t tell if Brother was just trying to provoke me. ”

Yang Bo still looked utterly confused. “So in the end, Xiu Ze died, and I died too?”

Xiu Ze nodded. “I poisoned you.” He lifted his head again. “Are you really Cupid?”

“No, I’m not!” Yang Bo shook his head hastily. “I really am not.”

All the previously eliminated players returned to the field. Xia Xiqing walked over to Xu Qichen, bent down with a smile, and pressed down on the table. “Zhao Ke was the real Cupid! Yang Bo clearly had no clue how to play. Zhao Ke was just pretending. That night, Xia Zhixu kept trying to stab Ruan Xiao—Ruan Xiao definitely wasn’t Cupid.”

Shang Sansan shook her shoulders repeatedly beside them. “I’m the Seer!! I’m the Seer!!!”

Ruan Xiao shouted angrily, “Shang Sirui’s taking the fall!”

“I couldn’t help it! I didn’t verify it in the first round!”

Zhao Ke raised his hands. “Operation Cupid, failed.” He sighed and sat back down. “Xi Qing’s final speech was insane. Watching it in the monitoring room, I was utterly blown away. He practically brought the dead back to life. And Qi Chen—that guy has a natural charm buff when he lies. This werewolf game is seriously high-spec.”

“High-end my ass.” Xia Xiqing shot him a withering look. “There were only two werewolves left this round. You exposed one double agent, leaving me and Chenchen to fight seven alone.”

Just then, Xia Zhixu walked back. “You’re driving me crazy! This Cupid round was a sure win!”

“A sure win?” Xia Xiqing scoffed. “If I hadn’t figured out you and Zhou Ziheng were teaming up, I wouldn’t have resorted to such desperate tactics.” He took a step back—“I just…”—only to land straight into someone’s embrace.

A pair of arms seized his elbows. Turning, Xia Xiqing found Zhou Ziheng smiling at him.

“Just what?”

That smile made Xia Xiqing’s heart skip a beat. He quickly lowered his gaze to hide his reaction, deliberately stepping on Zhou Ziheng’s foot. “Just making sure you two don’t win.”

As Xia Xiqing leaned closer, Xu Qichen lifted his head. “Changed your perfume?”

Hearing the question, Xia Xiqing’s lips curved into a smile, his eyes brightening. His finger traced a line along Xu Qichen’s nose bridge. “Your nose is pretty sharp.”

Xu Qichen drew nearer, his smile gentle. “Rose scent.”

No sooner had he spoken than Xia Zhixu grabbed Xu Qichen by the collar of his shirt and yanked him back. Simultaneously, Zhou Ziheng tugged Xia Xiqing’s arm. The two moved with such seamless coordination it seemed prearranged.

“You’re so petty.” Xia Xiqing shot Zhou Ziheng a glance before striding back to his seat, laughing as he scolded, “Dating behind my back and trying to fool me?”

He then clicked his tongue at Xu Qichen, shooting him a look brimming with sarcasm. “Werewolves stick together for life. Whoever dates is a dog.”

Xia Zhixu wrapped his arm around Xu Qichen’s shoulder with utter disdain, boasting triumphantly, “Whoever wins gets to be the dog. Who wants to be friends with you anyway?”

Xu Qichen shrugged indifferently, his expression unchanged. “Who cares about being friends with you anyway?” ”

Xia Zhixu wrapped his arm around Xu Qichen’s shoulder with obvious disdain, boasting triumphantly, “If winning makes us dogs, then so be it. Who wants to be friends with you anyway?”

Everyone burst into laughter. Zhao Ke was confused. “Why did you guys stab me the next night? Xia Zhixu definitely wouldn’t stab me. He should’ve guessed I might be Cupid.”

Xu Qichen propped his face up with both arms. “Well… that night I was going to stab Zi Heng, but Zhixu insisted on stabbing Ruan Xiao. I disagreed. Xiqing was hesitating, then flashed me a seven. But he made that seven twice—the second time it didn’t look like a seven, it looked like a heart. I caught on immediately.” He mimicked Xia Xiqing’s gesture, turning his head to look at Zhao Ke. “He meant you were Cupid. So I teamed up with Xiqing to stab him.”

“Oh, I see…” Zhao Ke had lost, but he was still having fun. “Top players are just different. I teamed up with two of them and thought I had it in the bag. Guess not.”

Zhou Ziheng walked over to Xia Xiqing and put his arm around his shoulder. “Xiqing will always be a little bomb—the biggest wildcard in any game.”

The moment “little bomb” was uttered, the chat exploded.

[Aaaaaaah little bomb!]

[I only half-understood, but Zixi and Xiqing are so sweet!]

[Little bomb is seriously spoiled!! Xiqing is amazing, and the writer is awesome too!]

[So Team 0 beat Team 1??]

[Hahahaha losing to my wife doesn’t count as losing~]

[Self-Study is always hostile, but why does this feel so sweet? I must be head over heels!]

“So you want to eliminate uncertainty?” Xia Xiqing brushed his hand away.

“How could I dare?” Zhou Ziheng pleaded, “I’m nothing like certain people who’ll stop at nothing to win.”

Xia Xiqing knew he was taking a dig at him. He crossed his arms, gave him a flirty glance, and said each word deliberately.

“There’s no room for romance in Werewolf.”

Everyone else was chatting, discussing plot points they hadn’t clarified earlier. Ruan Xiao cursed Zhao Ke for betraying him, Xia Xiuze and Shang Sirui lamented the pain of being deceived by Xia Xiqing, while Xia Zhixu obligingly poured water for Xu Qichen to moisten his throat.

Only Zhou Ziheng leaned back against the edge of the round table, his eyes crinkling with amusement as he gazed at Xia Xiqing standing before him.

He reached out, his fingers hooking lightly at the belt around Xia Xiqing’s waist. Taken by surprise, Xia Xiqing stumbled forward two steps. The distance between them closed abruptly, nearly sending him crashing into Zhou Ziheng’s embrace. That tug felt like it had hooked the most sensitive nerve within him.

Zhou Ziheng’s voice carried laughter too, like moonlit lake water—gentle yet profound.

“But I have love.”

Author’s Note:

I feel like everyone’s interest in Werewolf is waning. It’s like when I wrote reality shows—that uncertainty about whether to keep going. Hahaha. But after a full round, you should all get the gist now. Werewolf is fundamentally a game of weak logic and strong social dynamics. The key lies in the rhetoric. Just outmaneuver everyone else!

Recap:

Werewolves: Xia Xiqing, Xu Qichen, Xia Zhixu

Saints: Xia Xiuze (Witch), Shang Sirui (Seer), Zhao Ke (Priest)

Villagers: Zhou Ziheng, Ruan Xiao, Yang Bo

Couple: Zhou Ziheng, Xia Zhixu

Couple: Zhou Ziheng, Xia Zhixu

First Night: Xia Xiqing self-kills, tricking his brother into giving the antidote. Daytime: Both wolves impersonate Seer, forcing the real Seer Shang Sirui to vote himself out.

Second Night: Xia Xiqing and Xu Qichen team up to kill Zhao Ke. Xia Zhixu attempts to kill Ruan Xiao but only secures one vote. Daytime: Xu Qichen impersonated the Seer, investigating and killing Xia Zhixu. Xia Xiqing falsely claimed to have identified all wolves, deceiving the villagers into concealing Xu Qichen’s double-cross while redirecting all suspicion toward the Werewolf Romance pair. Xia Zhixu was voted out, prompting Zhou Ziheng to commit suicide.

Xia Xiqing self-revealed to enter night phase. Xu Qichen killed his brother. All three gods died, the werewolf-lover pair died, and the werewolves won.

Why could Zhao Ke’s identity be guessed? This is the skill of reading the gods. Zhou Ziheng immediately claimed to be a god. In a nine-player game, it’s usually the villagers who jump to claim god roles. Subsequent remarks also revealed inconsistencies: Zhao Ke’s lack of effort didn’t match his intelligence (after all, he was a P-level player). He seemed to be hiding his identity. Xia Zhixu wanted to kill Ruan Xiao at night, but Ruan Xiao definitely wasn’t Cupid. Yang Bo was a newbie. Logically, Zhao Ke’s reasoning skills should have been superior to Yang Bo’s, yet he was even more passive than Yang Bo—this was highly suspicious. So Xi Qing bet he was Cupid, and landing that kill was crucial. Of course, Xi Qing wasn’t entirely certain, so he had the Witch poison Yang Bo at night to eliminate him completely.

The side stories are daily updates. Unless I announce a break, both the main story and side stories will default to daily updates.

Tomorrow, I’ll start with a daily side story.

Happy Valentine’s Day, love you all [biubiubiu shooting hearts~]

Xi Qing: Seriously, no one complimented my looks? [Can’t believe it]

Chen Chen: No one complimented mine either. [Calm]
