Chapter 80

After receiving Allen’s instructions, Su Bin didn’t even have a chance to explore the facilities of the upscale restaurant and hotel before quickly finding clean clothes and slipping into the bathroom.

There seemed to be a lingering smell of that unpleasant roommate on him, and Su Bin was having a hard time bearing it…

There was clearly no comparison between the small hundred-yuan per night guesthouses and the thousand-yuan per night suites. Just the bathroom here was larger than the entire room there – a two-meter-long sink, a massage bathtub, a separate shower area… there were even two toilets!

Perhaps feeling the urgency in Allen’s earlier words “Go take a shower,” Su Bin didn’t dare to delay.

As the hot water cascaded over his skin, Su Bin was reminded of what he had witnessed on the street that night. The intense visual impact and emotional stimulation were unforgettable. If he hadn’t met Allen just then, he didn’t even know what he might have done… In that moment, there was only despair.

Fortunately, in his most desperate moment, he had encountered Allen. Being with Allen temporarily covered up his anger and sorrow…

Su Bin held himself tight, closed his eyes, and faced the showerhead…

His heart was like a hollow pit, his soul shrinking into a corner, scared and wounded, not knowing where to hide.

What should he do? Would he always be like this when he’s alone? If that were the case, maybe he’d have to start attending social parties like Jin Feitian just to distract himself…

Currently, merely being alone in the bathroom made Su Bin panic. Was Allen still outside? He hurried to finish his shower and stepped out, relieved to find Allen sitting on the sofa with his eyes closed.

Allen heard the movement, opened his eyes, and saw Su Bin in a bathrobe coming out. His eyes dimmed slightly. “All cleaned up?”

“Yeah.” Su Bin towel-dried his hair. “Do you want to shower? The water’s warm.”

Allen got up, removed his coat, revealing a fitted wool sweater. Su Bin had moved in on the first day and had the “privilege” of seeing Allen’s body. He knew that Allen’s physique was great – not the burly Western type, but rather slender and lean. It might be due to a childhood illness; he appeared somewhat thin but strong.

Sensing Su Bin’s discreet gaze on him, Allen felt in a good mood. Before heading to the bathroom, he told Su Bin, “Don’t wander around. Stay in the room.”

Su Bin: “…” The tone and expression Allen used when saying that seemed a bit mischievous… Was it his imagination?

Allen looked at Su Bin and gently reassured him, “I trust you.”

Su Bin quickly nodded. “I promise I won’t wander.”

Allen smirked at him and went to take his shower.

Su Bin’s motion of drying his hair slowed down, gradually drooping as he sat on the sofa. That authoritative and controlling statement actually brought him a sense of security…

Su Bin felt like crying again. I’m really weak, he thought.

I won’t wander, I promise, he repeated his assurance to himself in his mind.

After drying his hair, Allen still hadn’t finished his shower.

Su Bin sat for a while, then began to examine the suite. In addition to the sofa, coffee table, meeting table, fridge, and drinks, the room even had a grand 1.8-meter bed. He blushed a bit.

It was strange – the thought of sleeping on the same bed with Allen tonight made Su Bin especially nervous. He scolded himself inwardly. Come on, he’s just a straight guy(?), why be so anxious?

Outside the window was West Lake. Looking out from the sixth floor, the night view of West Lake was beautiful yet melancholic… Q_Q

Su Bin was afraid he’d be influenced by the view, so he turned away and returned to the well-lit room. He tidied his belongings and also organized Allen’s things, which were casually placed on a chair. Su Bin carefully picked up Allen’s coat and went to hang it up… Wait, hadn’t Allen returned his credit card yet?

He paused for a moment. The clothing slipped off the hanger and onto the floor. Su Bin quickly picked it up and patted it. Thankfully, the carpet was clean, and he didn’t soil it… Huh, what’s this?

Su Bin’s gaze fixated on a small… square box on the ground. It was a condom box? (⊙⊙)

Although he hadn’t experienced that, the brand name starting with a ‘D’ was… he couldn’t play dumb!

If he was correct, this box must have fallen out of Allen’s coat pocket. Su Bin hesitantly picked it up. He remembered that high-end hotels would have these items in the room. Could it be that Allen just stuffed it in his pocket?

But Su Bin recalled that the hotel supplies were all in the glass cabinet in the bathroom, which he’d seen while he was showering. Allen didn’t have a chance to go in and get them. And the most critical question was, whether it belonged to the hotel or not, why would Allen, a single man, have this in his coat pocket?

A chill ran down Su Bin’s spine, and he couldn’t think anymore. He returned the item to its rightful place – back in the pocket. Let’s pretend I didn’t see it!

Maybe Allen was looking for a romantic encounter in China?… Even he didn’t believe his own excuse.

Due to the unexplainable condom problem, Su Bin completely forgot about it until Allen finished his shower…

“You hung up my coat?” Allen quickly noticed.

Su Bin mumbled affirmatively, explaining that he had also tidied up their belongings. He used all sorts of seemingly normal excuses, his mind still consumed by that “mysterious box”… And then, Su Bin witnessed an even more puzzling scene!

Allen went straight to the coat rack, reached into a pocket, not only pulling out what had been stuffed into his bathrobe pocket (yes, bathrobes had pockets too)!

Su Bin: “…” (⊙皿⊙)

If Su Bin hadn’t seen that box when he was hanging up the coat, he wouldn’t have speculated about Allen’s actions now. But…

Allen didn’t give him time to indulge in his thoughts. He simply said, “Come to bed,” and went into the bedroom.

B-bed… Damn it, could it be that Allen wants… Su Bin stammered, “I-I think I’ll sleep on the living room sofa…”

Allen’s steps halted, and his gaze turned sharp as he looked at Su Bin.

“…” Su Bin’s thoughts were in chaos. After struggling and hesitating for about ten seconds, he finally succumbed to Allen’s overwhelming aura and compromised, “Alright, if you don’t mind sleeping together…”

Allen smiled, somewhat mischievously. “It’s not the first time. What’s there to be nervous about?”

Su Bin: “…” orz…

In the bedroom, Su Bin saw Allen lift the blanket and sit on the edge of the bed. Su Bin then hesitated, “But it’s not bedtime yet, and I’m not really tired…” He was trying to buy some time.

Allen looked at him. “I’ve been on a long flight. From the time I left until now, it’s been twenty hours since I got proper sleep.”

Su Bin was immediately overwhelmed by a strong sense of guilt rising from the depths of his heart. “Alright…”

Allen leaned against the bed and patted the space beside him. “Come, let’s talk.”

Su Bin: “…” He had a feeling of impending crisis over his chastity Q_Q~

Side by side, they leaned on the large cushion at the head of the bed, not turning on the TV, just sitting there silently for a few minutes. Su Bin felt tense all over, and he was anything but composed.

With his eyes closed, Allen said softly, “Your current mental state doesn’t seem good.”

“Yeah…” This sentence instantly reminded Su Bin of the troubles of the night.

“The situation you mentioned, is it resolved?” Allen asked in a gentle tone.

“Not yet…” Su Bin shifted his focus from the “mysterious box” back to the matter of Chen Xiaotian and Huang Zhengming. He felt a wave of desolation. “I don’t think I can resolve it. I can’t face them now.”

Allen: “Then just don’t face them.”

Su Bin: “It’s not that simple.…”

Allen: “Because they used to be your favorite people and your best friends?”

Su Bin: “Yeah, if I don’t confront them, I might end up thinking worse of them. I’ll never forgive them.”

Allen: “So, by coming back, are you trying to salvage the friendship between you? You don’t want to believe that they’ve done something so extreme, so you’re looking for an answer that can make you forgive them, even if it’s their repentance.”

“…” Su Bin had no words. After Allen analyzed it like that, it seemed to be true. Su Bin just hadn’t wanted to admit it.

He did indeed think that way – how much he wished it was all a nightmare, that Huang Zhengming and Chen Xiaotian were just playing a prank on him, and everything would go back to how it used to be… But tonight’s scene shattered all his hopes.

Allen opened his eyes, glanced at the dispirited Su Bin, sighed, and reached out to pull him into an embrace, gently asking, “Do you want them to meet a bad end?”

Through gritted teeth, Su Bin said, “Of course I do!”

Allen: “What kind of outcome do you want? To cripple your friends? To make him lose his humanity for life? Or to take away that girl’s innocence, destroy her looks? Or even… end their lives? I can help you with that.”

Su Bin: “…” QAQ Isn’t that too ruthless!

Allen smiled at him. “Having a hard time with the thought?”

Su Bin: “Aren’t the things you’re saying against the law?”

Allen squinted his eyes. “You do know that the law is just a set of rules created by a small group of people for the whole world to play, right? As long as you don’t play their game, it’s fine.”

Su Bin was both shocked and terrified by Allen’s expression and his words. “But I don’t have such malicious thoughts…”

Allen glanced at him. “In the end, you’re still a coward, aren’t you?”

“You, you’re saying those things are illegal, right?”

Allen looked at him. “Ultimately, you’re still a kind person.” — Fool, you’re too kind. Kind people aren’t suited for harboring malicious thoughts. Because before those revenge plans come to fruition, you’ll be driven insane by your own dark thoughts. Even if you don’t go mad, afterward, your conscience will haunt you for the rest of your life.

Su Bin sighed in frustration. “You’re right, I’m a coward…” Thinking of how Huang Zhengming and Chen Xiaotian were once good to him, Su Bin couldn’t bear it. He simultaneously hated them and felt reluctant to do anything. That’s why he was so tormented!

Allen: “You know, in cases like this, the best way for you is to forget. Love and hate are relative. You cared a lot about them, so now you’re filled with just as much hatred. They’ll consume your life, dragging you into an abyss.”

“But I feel like I can’t forget. Whenever I calm down, I remember their deception and betrayal…”

Naturally, Allen leaned over and kissed Su Bin’s earlobe, whispering softly, “Then, hand over your thoughts to me completely.”

This sentence was like a spell, hypnotizing Su Bin’s consciousness. To surrender his thoughts meant he wouldn’t have to think about anything anymore and wouldn’t feel so tormented…
