Chapter 46
“Damn it, you believe me now but still won’t let go?”
Shen Yan’s face flushed bright red as he desperately tried to pull away from Su Yunzhe’s grip.
He’d never been in a relationship before, let alone had anyone else touch him there. Yet Su Yunzhe, after confirming something, refused to let go. Instead, he lowered his gaze with an unsettling smirk, clearly enjoying himself.
The problem was—Shen Yan was a man! His body, however, responded involuntarily to the stimulation, no matter how much his mind screamed against it.
Feeling the change, Shen Yan wanted nothing more than for the ground to swallow him whole.
What the hell is going on here?
Wasn’t this supposed to be about revenge? How did things turn out like this? What kind of logic was Su Yunzhe operating on?
Su Yunzhe easily overpowered Shen Yan’s weak attempts to resist. Pleased with the reaction he’d elicited, he leaned in closer, his breath tickling Shen Yan’s ear as he spoke in a low, teasing voice, “Why should I let go? Didn’t you say I could do whatever I wanted? And doesn’t that mean… lying back and taking it?”
Shen Yan froze, then quickly shook his head. “Of course not! What I meant was… I meant…”
He stammered, trying to explain, but the truth of Su Yunzhe’s interpretation hit him. Didn’t “do whatever you want” mean exactly that? Allowing Su Yunzhe to act however he pleased—even if it led to this—technically fell within the boundaries Shen Yan had set.
But he never thought Su Yunzhe would actually take it this far!
How is this even possible?
Wasn’t Su Yunzhe supposed to absolutely loathe men? Why would he be doing something like this?
“Ah…”
While Shen Yan’s mind spiraled into chaos, Su Yunzhe, damn him, continued his teasing. Caught off guard, a sweet, unfamiliar sound slipped from Shen Yan’s throat.
He immediately clamped a hand over his mouth, eyes wide with panic as he looked at Su Yunzhe. Meanwhile, Su Yunzhe’s hand had already reached for his belt.
“Su Yunzhe… listen to me, okay?” Shen Yan was panicking now, grabbing at Su Yunzhe’s hand in desperation. “I said you could do whatever you want, but… does it have to be this? Don’t you hate men? There’s no need to force yourself like this just to get revenge on me. Can’t you think of a better way? Or maybe… something less—ah!”
Before Shen Yan could finish, Su Yunzhe leaned in and bit him on the lips, hard enough to make him gasp. “Shut up,” Su Yunzhe warned in a low, dangerous tone. “I’ve decided. I’ll screw you first, then deal with you later. Might as well find out if men are really as disgusting as I thought.”
With that, Shen Yan felt a chill run down his leg.
The shock jolted him into a frenzy of resistance, thrashing with all his might.
He knew he couldn’t win. Su Yunzhe had easily taken down people like Duan Yang before—fighting Shen Yan, a shut-in, was child’s play. And Shen Yan was already at a disadvantage.
But no matter what, he couldn’t let this happen.
Absolutely not!
Even if he had agreed to let Su Yunzhe do whatever he wanted, this wasn’t what he’d meant.
Su Yunzhe seemed surprised by Shen Yan’s sudden outburst. The pressure holding Shen Yan down eased slightly, but when Su Yunzhe saw Shen Yan suddenly go still, lying on the couch with his gaze averted and his face burning red, his demeanor shifted.
Shen Yan’s submissive, embarrassed expression was practically begging for trouble.
Damn it!
Su Yunzhe cursed under his breath. The emotions he’d been suppressing for so long finally exploded, and this time, he had no intention of holding back.
Releasing Shen Yan, he scooped him up in one swift motion, racing upstairs like a sprinter and tossing him onto the bed before climbing on top of him.
This time, Su Yunzhe felt different. Earlier, it had seemed like he was just playing around. Now, he was urgent, as if determined to consume Shen Yan completely.
This wasn’t about “testing” anything. This was…
Shen Yan froze, a sudden realization hitting him like a lightning bolt. Everything made sense now.
He shoved Su Yunzhe off him with all his strength. “When did you find out?”
Su Yunzhe, caught up in the moment, didn’t immediately understand. He lifted his head, his usually calm eyes now filled with raw desire.
Shen Yan glared at him, more certain than ever that he was the one who’d been played.
Kicking Su Yunzhe away, he demanded, “Stop pretending. You’ve known I’m a man all along, haven’t you? When did you find out?”
From the moment they met, Su Yunzhe had been wearing that cold, betrayed expression, acting like the victim of Shen Yan’s lies. But it was all just an act!
If he were really mad, would he use such an absurd method to get revenge? Shen Yan couldn’t help but think. And fine, if he’s getting back at me, why is Su Yunzhe himself… Shen Yan blushed furiously at the thought. Why would he, of all people, get turned on? Isn’t he supposed to hate men? How could playing around with a guy make him react like this?
Earlier, on the couch, Shen Yan had been ready to fight to the death. But in the heat of the struggle, his hand had accidentally brushed against Su Yunzhe’s lower half—and discovered something far more obvious than his own.
For a moment, Shen Yan felt deeply embarrassed. But alongside the embarrassment came a sliver of doubt. Is Su Yunzhe really just mad and trying to teach me a lesson?
This didn’t align with the Su Yunzhe he knew. Would he go to such lengths just to get revenge?
And Su Yunzhe’s growing urgency—his fumbling, almost teenage-like awkwardness—only made the situation feel more illogical.
Then Shen Yan noticed the room. It wasn’t just any room. The décor had clearly been meticulously planned. The bed was scattered with rose petals. The entire setup screamed “romantic getaway.”
“What do you think?” Su Yunzhe said casually, showing no hint of embarrassment at being found out. It seemed he hadn’t intended to keep it a secret for long—he was just curious how long it would take Shen Yan to notice. But Su Yunzhe clearly had no intention of talking about it now. He leaned in again, resuming his earlier attempts to strip Shen Yan’s clothes.
Shen Yan, still frustrated at being duped, had to admit the absurdity of it all had softened his anger. Ever since he’d encountered Su Yunzhe, he’d been on edge. Yet, seeing this ridiculous setup now, his irritation faded, and, without realizing it, the corners of his lips turned up slightly.
Batting Su Yunzhe’s hands away, he deliberately glanced around the room before teasing, “What is this? Another online guide you looked up?”
Su Yunzhe didn’t deny it. Propping himself up slightly, he looked down at Shen Yan. “What, not satisfied?”
Shen Yan nodded decisively. “It’s tacky.”
Narrowing his eyes dangerously, Su Yunzhe chuckled. “You’re quite picky, huh? Maybe you’d prefer I take you to the mountains, strip you naked, and pin you down on the hard, dirty ground for some… outdoor fun?”
Uh…
The mental image popped into Shen Yan’s mind before he could stop it. While he struggled to erase it, Su Yunzhe had already lost patience. Biting Shen Yan’s earlobe gently, he murmured, “Next time, I’ll grant your wish. But for now, we’ll make do with this.”
Before Shen Yan could react, Su Yunzhe resumed where he had left off.
“Wait, what? Again?” Shen Yan had thought he’d dodged the bullet. But Su Yunzhe had no intention of stopping.
In a last-ditch effort, Shen Yan blurted, “Su Yunzhe, I’ve been married before… Uh… I-I was wrong! I take it back, Su Yunzhe, I was wrong! I’ll never talk about marriage again!”
Too late.
Shen Yan cursed himself for his stupidity. Why the hell did I pour fuel on the fire?
It was, quite literally, his own fault.
When he woke up again, it was already the afternoon of the next day.
He lay face down on the bed, not wanting to move. Every muscle in his body felt sore, as if he’d been run over by a truck.
Memories of the previous night came flooding back, leaving him in a daze.
He really did it. I actually slept with Su Yunzhe.
He had never imagined this would happen.
In his mind, Su Yunzhe was someone who could never possibly like men. Even after realizing Su Yunzhe’s feelings for him last night, Shen Yan still hadn’t expected things to progress so smoothly—without any hesitation on Su Yunzhe’s part.
Maybe I just didn’t know him well enough, Shen Yan thought. Maybe Su Yunzhe wasn’t as averse to men as I thought.
But then what about himself?
Su Yunzhe had a reason—he liked Shen Yan. That made sense.
But what about Shen Yan? Why had he gone along with it so easily? It couldn’t be just because Su Yunzhe was handsome, could it?
“What’s wrong?”
At that moment, Su Yunzhe slid in behind Shen Yan, wrapping his arms around Shen Yan’s waist and pulling him close. His voice, still hoarse and low from sleep, murmured softly.
Shen Yan, already feeling sore all over, winced as Su Yunzhe’s pull made his back and waist ache even more. The man behind him was the reason for his current state, and the memories of how Su Yunzhe had scared him the night before only added fuel to the fire.
Overwhelmed by both fresh and old grudges, Shen Yan grabbed Su Yunzhe’s arm and bit down hard.
Su Yunzhe, startled awake, sucked in a sharp breath. Before he could say a word, Shen Yan struggled to turn over and glared at him furiously.
Feeling guilty, Su Yunzhe quickly put on a sheepish smile. “You’re sore, huh? Let me massage you.” He reached out to knead Shen Yan’s waist.
Shen Yan shot him a withering look, and Su Yunzhe awkwardly rubbed his nose. “Did I… go too far last night?”
Shen Yan refused to respond, thinking, You’re only realizing this now? Last night, you weren’t even acting like a human being.
Though Shen Yan couldn’t recall the second half of the night clearly, he remembered vividly how Su Yunzhe had driven him to say all kinds of mortifying things in an attempt to make it stop. And yet, Su Yunzhe had completely ignored his pleas and acted like anything but human.
The more Shen Yan thought about it, the angrier he became. He wanted to kick Su Yunzhe off the bed, but his legs were too weak and sore. Resigning himself for now, he glared at Su Yunzhe and demanded, “Confess. When did you figure out I was a man?”
Still feeling guilty, Su Yunzhe answered truthfully. “Well… it wasn’t that early. I figured it out at the barbecue stand.”
What the hell?!
Shen Yan’s eyes widened. He knew back then?
At that time, Shen Yan hadn’t noticed any particular interest from Su Yunzhe. Did that mean Su Yunzhe developed feelings for him after realizing he was a man?
Hmm…
Strangely, the resentment Shen Yan had been feeling started to dissipate. He couldn’t explain why, but the thought felt… nice.
Then another realization hit him, and he narrowed his eyes. “If you knew back then, why didn’t you say anything? Were you just watching me squirm for fun?”
Su Yunzhe sighed, looking genuinely innocent. “I noticed you seemed to have a secret, like you didn’t want anyone to find out. I didn’t want to make you uncomfortable, so I kept quiet.”
“Bullshit! Of course I didn’t want anyone to find out—especially not you! Do you have any idea what people think of you? The whole world knows you’re straight, and there are rumors you hate gay people. They even say you nearly crippled a guy in college because he confessed to you! Do you think I’d dare let you find out I’m a man? I didn’t want to get beaten half to death!”
Shen Yan’s words were full of indignation, though deep down, he was also exasperated. What kind of ridiculous misunderstanding is this?
Su Yunzhe rubbed his forehead and chuckled wryly. “Let me clear that up. It’s true I beat someone up back then, but not because he confessed to me. After I turned him down, he started stalking me. I lost my patience and fought back. And for the record, I only broke one leg—and I even covered his medical bills.”
It really was a misunderstanding. Su Yunzhe had never claimed to dislike gay people. For him, that incident in college had been nothing more than a minor episode. But because he’d been a high-profile figure since his university days, every detail of his life was magnified and spread far and wide.
When he later took over Yun Kong Entertainment, rumors about him multiplied. Although Su Yunzhe wasn’t a celebrity, the entertainment industry buzzed with endless stories about him. Over time, the tale about his supposed dislike of gay people became so pervasive that it turned into an unquestioned “truth.”
Su Yunzhe himself had never paid much attention to such gossip. Occasionally, he’d heard bits of it but didn’t realize how serious it had become—let alone that it had scared Shen Yan so much that he’d run away.
When Shen Yan disappeared, Su Yunzhe had assumed he was avoiding Duan Yang and had secretly retaliated against Duan Yang out of anger.
It wasn’t until Ling Sicheng pointed out that Shen Yan’s escape had everything to do with him that Su Yunzhe realized the problem lay with himself.
