In an unremarkable corner, Lian Qiguang tilted his head back, staring expressionlessly at the dingy sign. The heavy silence made Mi Xiaobao and the others following behind him feel a little uneasy.
“Kumu, let’s go in,” Feng Qingyang said as he walked up beside Lian Qiguang, scratching his head and smiling awkwardly.
“A bar.” Lian Qiguang glanced at Feng Qingyang indifferently.
“Oh, right, it’s a bar.” Feng Qingyang shifted his feet as if to back away, but was kicked back by Qing Yi.
Lian Qiguang turned around, his eyes sweeping over the cowering group behind him, then pointed at the inconspicuous sign by the door. “No minors allowed.”
“Rules are just for show,” Mi Xiaobao said, his eyes darting around, too afraid to meet Lian Qiguang’s gaze. “As long as you’ve got money, who cares if you’re a minor or not?”
“Are we going in or not?” Qing Yi pushed past the group impatiently and headed toward the bar. “As a future soldier, how could I not know how to drink!”
“Lord Deadwood?” Mi Xiaobao poked his head out, glancing uneasily at Lian Qiguang’s face.
Lian Qiguang withdrew his gaze, shoved his hands back into his pockets, and walked into the bar with a blank expression.
Feng Qingyang grinned, high-fived Mi Xiaobao from across the room, slung an arm around his shoulders, and followed Lian Qiguang into the bar, laughing and joking all the while.
Dim lighting, music that made hearts race and cheeks flush—the compact bar was filled with an ambiguous, decadent, and alluring atmosphere.
Lian Qiguang made his way through the crowded aisle, staring impassively at the bodies brazenly entwined all around him. The unrestrained moans and slurping sounds made him feel a bit queasy.
Mi Xiaobao, who had never experienced such things, had never seen a scene like this before. The group froze in their tracks, staring wide-eyed at the debauchery unfolding before them.
“Mi Xiaobao, what kind of invitation did your dad give you?!” Qing Yi grabbed Mi Xiaobao by the back of his collar, yanked him close, and hissed through gritted teeth.
“No, isn’t it a bar?” Mi Xiaobao, whose face had flushed and heart was racing after being hit by a man’s throw from nearby, quickly ducked his head and said timidly.
“Hand over the VIP pass so I can take a look.” Lan Qi dodged a persistent groping hand and held out one hand with a frown.
“Here.” Mi Xiaobao frantically fished out the complimentary pass and hurriedly shoved it into Lan Qi’s hand.
Lan Qi held up the metal card and examined it against the light, his face immediately darkening. “Adult Bar Complimentary Pass.”
“We can’t stay here. Let’s get out of here fast,” Lan Qi said in a low voice, tucking the metal card back into his pocket.
“Wait, where’s Ku Mu? ” Mi Xiaobao scanned the empty surroundings, his little face turning deathly pale in an instant.
The path they’d come from was already blocked, and the surging crowd kept pushing them further inside. Qing Yi cursed under her breath and clung tightly to Mi Xiaobao’s chubby little body to keep them from getting separated.
“Qingyi, Ku Mu’s gone.” Mi Xiaobao’s little eyes darted back and forth, searching the crowd, but he couldn’t find even a trace of Lian Qiguang. He was so anxious that tears were welling up in his eyes.
“Enough! What are you crying for?” Qingyi scratched her hair in frustration. “His combat prowess could easily overwhelm our entire school. I’m actually worried about whoever he’s targeting.”
“Qingyi, what should we do!” Lan Qi shoved aside a drunken man trying to grope her, squeezed his way over to Qingyi, and exclaimed urgently.
Qingyi glanced at the exit, which was growing increasingly distant, frowned, and pondered for a moment. “Pair up and go find Ku Mu first. Once you find him, notify us via your optical brain—no need to gather everyone. Let’s get the hell out of this place.”
“Got it!”
Compared to the crowd over there, it was relatively quiet at the bar—as long as you ignored the two bodies on the sofa in the corner, twisted together like two snakes.
Lian Qiguang sat on a stool at the bar, and as his finger swept across the glass countertop, a virtual floating screen popped up, displaying a wide variety of drinks side by side.
Lian Qiguang rested his chin in his hand, casually surveying the colorful “drinks” on the screen, tapping with a single finger with particular enthusiasm.
Soon, humanoid robots began serving up glass after glass of exquisitely decorated drinks in a variety of colors. Lian Qiguang selected a bright red one with two small fruits floating on top, raised it to his lips, and took a sip. With a blank expression, he smacked his lips as the sweet-and-sour flavor spread through his mouth, slid down his throat, and left a faint tingle. Lian Qiguang’s eyes lit up, and he began guzzling the drink from his glass.
The lights shifted and shifted; as time passed, the moans and heavy breathing inside the bar grew louder and louder. The air was thick with a sense of transgression, and paired with the music that made hearts race and faces flush, it stirred the deepest, most suppressed desires buried within people’s hearts.
“Qingyi! Qingyi…” Weaving through the crowd, Mi Xiaobao frantically searched for Qingyi’s figure, but the sea of unfamiliar faces around him revealed a terrifying truth: he and Qingyi had lost each other.
“Qingyi!” Dodging the filthy hands reaching out toward him, Mi Xiaobao began running headlong in a panic, not caring where he was going. Terrified, he burst into tears, his chubby little face streaked with tears.
“Thud!” Not watching where he was going, Mi Xiaobao slammed headfirst into a hard wall. Clutching his aching nose, he looked up through tear-blurred eyes.
“Heh… looks like we’ve got a little lost soul here.” The deep voice carried a hint of mockery, sending an inexplicable chill down Mi Xiaobao’s spine.
“Little chubby, how about playing a game with big brother?” Ambiguous, warm breath brushed against Mi Xiaobao’s ear, while a strange hand slowly slid down the back of his neck—like a cold, venomous snake, inch by inch coiling around its prey. Mi Xiaobao’s eyes widened, his gaze filled with deep terror.
“You pervert, aaaaaah!!!” Mi Xiaobao closed his eyes and let out a furious roar, then swung his chubby, squishy little hand with a loud smack, sending a whooshing gust of wind through the air.
Another wine glass was hurled onto the table. Even Qi Guang, squinting, slumped against the bar, his drunken gaze fixed on the scattered glassware. His handsome little face was flushed, stripped of his usual aloofness and replaced with a touch of heart-fluttering charm.
“Beep! Beep!…” The sound of a message came from the lightbrain in her hand. Lian Qiguang glanced at it with narrowed eyes; the moment she saw who it was, her previously hazy eyes lit up instantly, sending a tingling sensation through his heart.
Without a word, Lian Qiguang answered the call, and Xiahou Shaoxuan’s image popped up. Lian Qiguang grinned, staring blankly at Xiahou Shaoxuan. “Shaoxuan, you’re here.”
“Honey…” Just as Xiahou Shaoxuan was about to give Lian Qiguang his usual smile, he froze. The clear sounds of heavy breathing and moans ringing in his ears sent a chill through his heart, and his deep, dark eyes instantly turned cold.
“Wife, where are you!” His gaze immediately fell on the two pale, entwined bodies on the sofa behind Xiahou Shao Xuan. Xiahou Shao Xuan felt a raging fire burning inside him, screaming to be unleashed.
“Where?” Lian Qiguang grinned foolishly. “The bar.”
“The bar?” Is there even a bar like that?! Xiahou Shaoxuan now wanted nothing more than to reach through the virtual screen, grab Lian Qiguang, and beat him senseless.
“Who took you there?” Xiahou Shaoxuan’s face was dark with fury. He knew better than anyone just how well-behaved his wife was—someone must have instigated this. If he found out who it was, he’d skin them alive!
“With… with a classmate.” Lian Qiguang slumped face-down on the table, staring blankly at the furious Xiahou Shaoxuan. She foolishly reached out a hand, trying to touch his face.
“Shaoxuan, why are there two of you?”
“You’re drunk.”
“Drunk? Drunk… what’s that?” ” Lian Qiguang narrowed his eyes, let out a soft moan, and reached out to grab a cup of wine nearby.
“Wife! Don’t drink any more!!” Xiahou Shaoxuan roared, his eyes bloodshot. His frenzied rage terrified a soldier who had just arrived to report—his legs gave way, and without a word, he took off running.
“Well, well, there’s actually a little beauty hiding here.” A teasing voice drifted over from Lian Qiguang’s side, and Xiahou Shaoxuan’s heart instantly skipped a beat.
Lian Qiguang narrowed her eyes, struggling to sit up, and gazed hazily at the three people approaching her. The moment she sat up, the three of them were left speechless.
Holy crap, what a stroke of luck! This wasn’t some “little beauty”—she was clearly a disaster waiting to happen.
Seeing Lian Qiguang’s posture—seven parts drunk, three parts seductive—the three men couldn’t help but swallow hard, feeling a surge of lust rush through their bodies.
“Wife, show them the lightbrain.” Those damn bastards actually dared to lust after his wife—he was going to wipe them out humanely.
“Shao Xuan, looks like someone’s looking for a fight.” Lian Qiguang tilted her head blankly, her expression turning sour.
“Wife, what are you planning to do?” A sense of foreboding welled up in Xiahou Shao Xuan’s heart.
“Shao Xuan, I’ll be with you in a moment. I… I’m going to deal with them first.” With that, Lian Qiguang paid no heed to Xiahou Shao Xuan’s calls and hung up the optical computer cleanly and decisively.
Staring at the now-black screen, Xiahou Shao Xuan clenched his fists tightly, his face ashen. The surging rage was on the verge of consuming his reason.
He knew full well just how formidable his wife was, but now that Lian Qiguang was so drunk she could barely see straight—what if…
There was no “what if”!!
Flames blazed in Xiahou Shao Xuan’s eyes. Even without considering the consequences, the mere thought of the word “what if” made him want to storm over to Lian Qiguang’s place and carry out a massacre.
“As long as my wife is okay, it’s fine—but if anything happens to her…”
Xiahou Shaoxuan clenched his fists so hard they cracked. Unwilling to dwell on the thought any longer, he immediately contacted the most brutal fighter in his household.
“Dare to set your sights on my wife, and I’ll beat you to a pulp!”
