Chapter 23
Xie Xiaojiang was held by Wei Yuhuan, feeling shy, awkward, and excited at different times. To ease the strange atmosphere and uncomfortable feelings, he kept talking to Wei Yuhuan.
At first, he asked Wei Yuhuan some questions that he could answer, but as time went on, even Wei Yuhuan was a bit helpless. He was already struggling, and this little guy was constantly moving around in his arms, which was driving him crazy.
They chatted for nearly an hour, and Wei Yuhuan finally couldn’t take it anymore. He lightly patted Xie Xiaojiang’s butt and said, “Okay, we’ll talk about anything else tomorrow. If you don’t sleep now, I’ll have to do something else.”
Xie Xiaojiang immediately closed his mouth and stiffened like a wooden statue in Wei Yuhuan’s arms.
But he still couldn’t fall asleep, perhaps because of the alcohol. His brain was as excited as Super Mario after eating a star.
On the other hand, Wei Yuhuan had spent a lot of energy suppressing his desires, and now that Xie Xiaojiang had settled down, he felt a bit drowsy. Smelling the faint scent of alcohol on the other’s body and feeling the heat of his body, Wei Yuhuan quickly fell into a sweet dream.
Xie Xiaojiang had insomnia for most of the night, nervous about this unprecedented “love experience,” and didn’t fall into a deep sleep until early morning.
He was awakened by Wei Yuhuan’s kiss the next morning.
Wei Yuhuan was lying on top of him, his body pressing against Xie Xiaojiang’s, one hand kneading his waist, and his wet tongue stirring in his mouth.
Xie Xiaojiang reacted, shuddering all over, subconsciously wanting to avoid, but was grabbed by Wei Yuhuan’s hand and held tightly, with fingers interlocked at his side, and the plundering between their lips became even more intense.
After holding back his desires all night, Wei Yuhuan’s morning libido was extremely strong. He unconsciously rubbed against Xie Xiaojiang and indulged in him. After the kiss ended, Wei Yuhuan looked at Xie Xiaojian with a burning gaze, using his fingers to touch his cheeks, ears, and revealing his fascination and desire for him without any reservation.
Xie Xiaojian was embarrassed and flustered, his head turned away, gasping for breath, and his hands weakly pressing against Wei Yuhuan’s chest.
Wei Yuhuan laughed softly with a husky and sexy voice, kissing Xie Xiaojiang’s mouth and saying, “Lie down a little longer.” Then he got up and went to the bathroom to take care of himself.
Thinking of last night’s events, Xie Xiaojiang’s brain exploded again…
God, this must be the craziest decision he had ever made in his life!
When Xie Xiaojiang saw him, his brain went blank and he didn’t even realize that he was starting to laugh. “Yu Ge.”
Wei Yuhuan was also laughing. He walked slowly to Xie Xiaojiang and turned him around to face him.
“What are you doing…” Xie Xiaojiang was a bit nervous as he was pulled and tugged by Wei Yuhuan.
Wei Yuhuan lowered his head and nibbled on Xie Xiaojiang’s ear, saying, “I missed you, let me kiss you.” Then he pushed him into a compartment and closed the door behind him.
“What are you shouting for… mmm!” Xie Xiaojiang leaned back against the partition, his hands held by Wei Yuhuan and pressed against his sides, with nowhere to escape.
After a deep kiss that lasted several minutes, Wei Yuhuan continued to press his lips against Xie Xiaojian’s soft lips and cheeks, while whispering, “I just wanted to touch you for a moment when you weren’t by my side.”
“…Aren’t you here to use the restroom?” Xie Xiaojiang’s heart was pounding as he tried to shift the topic away from what just happened. He felt embarrassed and annoyed, thinking that Wei Yuhuan was such a rogue. He turned his head away and took a shallow breath, his hands weakly pressing against Wei Yuhuan’s chest.
Wei Yuhuan chuckled softly in a hoarse and sexy voice. He kissed the corner of Xie Xiaojiang’s mouth and said, “Take a rest for a while.” Then he got up and went to the bathroom to freshen up.
Thinking back to last night, Xie Xiaojiang’s brain exploded again…
Oh my god, this must be the craziest decision he has ever made in his life!
On the way to the company, Xie Xiaojiang said to Wei Yuhuan, “I want to buy a ticket to go back to my hometown at the bus station later.”
Wei Yuhuan was taken aback and raised his eyebrows. “Why go back to your hometown?”
Xie Xiaojiang replied, “Uh, for the New Year.”
His sister had already gone back and was staying with their aunt. For the two years since their grandmother passed away, Xie Xiaojiang and Xie Xiaoxi had spent their New Year’s at their aunt’s house. A week ago, Xie Xiaojiang had talked to his sister on the phone and promised to be back before the 29th day of the lunar new year.
Wei Yuhuan had been spending every day with Xie Xiaojiang and had almost forgotten about this.
“Don’t go back. Stay in S city and celebrate the New Year with me.” Wei Yuhuan said.
This was an impulsive statement, even Wei Yuhuan himself had to go back to his own family to celebrate the New Year with his grandfather and grandmother. It was impossible to accompany Xie Xiaojiang alone.
Either bring Xie Xiaojiang to his own home for the New Year, or…
As the idea popped into his head, Wei Yuhuan was momentarily stunned. After all these years, he had never thought about bringing someone home, but now, Xie Xiaojiang had occupied a place in his thoughts. He thought about how entertaining it would be to bring him home, especially to see his grandmother’s reaction.
Wei Yuhuan’s lips curled into a smile, but he had only just started a relationship with Xie Xiaojiang, and he feared that it might scare not his grandmother, but Xie Xiaojiang. Just as he hesitated, Xie Xiaojiang refused, “No, we have to go back to our hometown to pay respects to our ancestors during the Chinese New Year. It’s a tradition, and I’m the eldest grandson of the Xie family, so I must go.”
Wei Yuhuan grabbed Xie Xiaojiang’s hand, pinched his fingers, and said, “Alright, but you don’t need to buy a ticket. I’ll have the driver take you there when the time comes. Suqian is not far away; it only takes a few hours to get there.” He suppressed his desire to follow Xie Xiaojiang and convince him to stay, not sure if he was explaining it to Xie Xiaojiang or reassuring himself.
Xie Xiaojiang scratched Wei Yuhuan’s palm and chuckled, “Thank you, Yu Ge.”
This simple action made Wei Yuhuan’s heart itch, and he immediately pulled Xie Xiaojiang’s head down to kiss him. Xie Xiaojiang was frightened and exclaimed, “Hey hey!” Seeing that the driver was paying attention to them, he felt uncomfortable. Although he enjoyed being with Wei Yuhuan at home, he could not accept such open behavior in public or in front of strangers.
Wei Yuhuan smiled, understanding that he had made a mistake, and let him go, but not without pinching Xie Xiaojiang’s face once more.
Xie Xiaojiang’s skin was smooth and blemish-free, not too oily, too greasy, or too rough. It was like a child’s face, soft and elastic, and Wei Yuhuan couldn’t resist pinching him again.
The regular employees of Huan Yu Company had their holidays starting from the 29th of the lunar new year, just like the national statutory holidays. However, the upper management was relatively free because their annual tasks were mostly completed by January, and few decisions were made at this time.
In theory, Wei Yuhuan could let Xie Xiaojiang take his leave early to go home for the New Year, but he couldn’t bear to do so, even if it meant he would have to work for a couple more days himself.
That night, the company held its annual party at the Jin Haiyan Hotel.
Wei Yuhuan and some of the managers sat at one table, while Xie Xiaojiang, Li Xiuya, and other secretaries sat at another.
Before dinner, as the CEO of the company, Wei Yuhuan went up to the stage to give a speech and make an annual summary. Xie Xiaojiang stared at him from the audience, and under the light, the man was exquisite and handsome, exuding a confident charm from his eyes and brows. Xie Xiaojiang remembered that this man had held him while they slept together last night, and his ears began to burn.
…What should he do? He felt like he was starting to like Yu Ge too.
He had always considered his feelings towards Wei Yuhuan as gratitude and admiration, until Wei Yuhuan revealed the truth by revealing the paper, and Xie Xiaojiang realized that it could also be admiration and liking.
If it weren’t for the mindset of “same gender cannot love”, he would have probably thought about it earlier.
In that case, they could be considered as mutually in love, right? Xie Xiaojiang’s mouth couldn’t help but curve upwards foolishly.
After finishing his speech and stepping down from the stage, Wei Yuhuan looked towards Xie Xiaojiang and winked at him with an ambiguous smile as he sat down at his own table.
Xie Xiaojiang’s heart suddenly beat faster, and he quickly lowered his head to eat, laughing even more foolishly.
Halfway through the meal, Xie Xiaojiang went to the restroom, and he noticed that Li Xiuya had followed him.
“Li Ge.” Xie Xiaojiang politely greeted him. Wei Yuhuan had several secretaries, and the others were all polite to him, but Li Xiuya was indifferent towards him, which made Xie Xiaojiang feel a strange sense of awe towards him.
However, he had heard that Li Xiuya was a graduate from a prestigious university with a master’s degree, and Xie Xiaojiang himself admitted that he was too inferior compared to him. He had only gotten his current job through Wei Yuhuan’s connections, which was equivalent to taking a shortcut. It was normal for Li Xiuya to have a bad attitude towards him.
After using the restroom, Xie Xiaojiang was washing his hands, and Li Xiuya happened to be doing the same.
Xie Xiaojiang kept his head down and didn’t dare to speak again. However, a few seconds later, Li Xiuya took the initiative to say, “Does Mr. Wei treat you well?”
“Ah?” Xie Xiaojiang was taken aback and felt a bit inexplicable. “Um…”
Just now, Xie Xiaojiang hadn’t noticed that all the “eye flirting” between him and Wei Yuhuan had been seen through by Li Xiuya.
Li Xiuya lightly shook his hands over the sink and slowly grabbed a paper towel to dry them off. He smiled faintly and said, “He treats everyone the same way.”
Xie Xiaojiang was a bit confused, and Li Xiuya turned to him, his eyes flashing slightly. He said in a soft voice, “As someone who has been there before, I advise you not to get too deeply involved.”
After speaking, Li Xiuya turned around and left. His expressionless appearance was as if he had only asked Xie Xiaojiang to make a copy of some documents.
Xie Xiaojiang was at a loss. He had just established a relationship with Wei Yuhuan last night, so could it be that Li Xiuya had already figured something out? No way! Wei Yuhuan couldn’t have told everyone he liked them, could he? But what did he mean by “someone who has been there before”?
As he was walking out, Wei Yuhuan suddenly appeared.
Xie Xiaojiang saw him and his brain went blank. He didn’t even realize he was starting to smile stupidly. “Yu Ge~”
Wei Yuhuan was also smiling. He walked slowly to Xie Xiaojiang and turned him around before pushing him towards a booth and closing the door behind them.
“What are you doing…mmph!” Xie Xiaojiang’s back was against the partition, and Wei Yuhuan held both his hands down by his side, leaving him nowhere to run.
After several minutes of deep kissing, Wei Yuhuan continued to lightly peck Xie Xiaojing’s soft lips and cheeks, whispering, “I just wanted to touch you when you weren’t next to me for even a moment.”
“You…you weren’t really going to the bathroom, were you?” Xie Xiaojing’s heart was pounding like crazy. He turned his head away, awkwardly trying to change the subject, feeling both embarrassed and annoyed. Wei Yuhuan was such a pervert.
After that, Wei Yuhuan set up a small desk for Xie Xiaojing in his own office and even provided him with a laptop. Before that, Xie Xiaojing didn’t have much to do except tidy things up and make coffee. When he had nothing to do, he would just surf the internet.
Except for some highly confidential information, Wei Yuhuan didn’t mind Xie Xiaojing being around. He could stay anywhere in the large office and even read the books on the bookshelf. Even when Li Xiuya was with him, he didn’t receive this kind of treatment. But it was this uneducated Xie Xiaojing who made Wei Yuhuan almost “confuse business with pleasure,” letting him be both permissive and tolerant.
There were many best-selling books on finance, economics, and management on the office bookshelf. Xie Xiaojing knew that Wei Yuhuan wanted him to go to school, and his thirst for knowledge grew stronger.
In the days before going home, Xie Xiaojing found a pile of books and read them as if he were starving for knowledge.
Wei Yuhuan was pleased and overjoyed to see him so focused and absorbed. He felt a sense of achievement in teaching and nurturing Xie Xiaojing, as if he were raising a naive child into an adult who fully trusted, relied on, and appreciated him. The more he thought about this, the more he realized that he liked the process of cultivating someone. No wonder he hadn’t met a completely satisfactory partner in so many years. It wasn’t that he was approaching the game the wrong way, but that he had chosen the wrong game.
What kind of person would Xie Xiaojing develop into under his training? Wei Yuhuan was looking forward to finding out.
