Chapter 30

Xia Leyang thought to himself that he wasn’t a woman, so where did the sisterhood come from? However, on second thought, he was indeed quite unscrupulous last night. Just for his own pleasure, he sent away the female ghost who had guided him for most of the day. It really had a bit of a plastic taste.

“Cough, cough.” Xia Leyang coughed uncomfortably and quickly changed the topic. “Anyway, let’s wait for her reply first, and I’ll think of a solution later.”

“Can you really help me remember my identity?” the female ghost asked.

“I’ll do my best,” Xia Leyang replied cautiously. However, after spending these two days together, he found that this female ghost was not bad. She agreed not to possess him, left when asked, and considering her pitiful situation, he would do his best to help her.

Xia Leyang and the female ghost chatted in the living room, discussing random topics. Just as Xia Leyang was explaining how cool her bangs were, the doorbell of the Gu family mansion suddenly rang.

Xia Leyang had been living in this ominous house for more than half a month. Not to mention genuine guests, even the neighbors who came to visit were nowhere to be seen. He hurriedly went to the entrance, glanced at the visual doorbell on the wall, and saw that the person standing outside was the beautiful Feng Shui master Zhao Ying whom he had met before.

At that moment, Shang Tingzhi happened to come down from upstairs. He walked to Xia Leyang’s side, ruffled his hair, and said, “She’s here for me, you…”

Shang Tingzhi paused, looked around, although he couldn’t see the female ghost, he knew she was nearby. He continued, “You go upstairs and hang out with the female ghost.”

Xia Leyang rolled his eyes, obediently walked from the living room through the side door, entered the courtyard, and climbed the stairs. However, when he reached the study on the middle of the first and second floors, he sneaked back behind the side door, tiptoeing.

“Do you want to eavesdrop on their conversation?” the female ghost floated next to Xia Leyang and asked.

“Shh!” Xia Leyang gestured for the ghost to be quiet and whispered, “I’m just bored. Keep your voice down.”

“He can’t hear me talking anyway,” the female ghost rolled her eyes and then burst into singing, “Sweet, your smile is so sweet.”

“…” Xia Leyang twitched his mouth. “Are you listening or not?”

“Eavesdropping on others isn’t good, little brother,” the female ghost wagged her finger, “but I’m also bored.”

After saying that, the female ghost floated next to Xia Leyang, and they both stealthily observed the two people in the living room.

Xia Leyang peeked from behind the side door, watching Zhao Ying and Shang Tingzhi sit on the sofa, chatting with the female ghost. “You’re so moral. How did you push him down the stairs and use the bookshelf to press him?” Xia Leyang asked.

On the other side, Shang Tingzhi glanced at the fuzzy head behind the side door, pretending not to see.

“I didn’t push him,” the female ghost sat on the steps behind Xia Leyang, “I just wanted to greet him. I haven’t seen a living person for so long, got too excited, and didn’t control the force.”

“What?” Xia Leyang withdrew his gaze from the living room, looking at the female ghost behind him. “What if he got a fracture from falling down such a high staircase?”

“Blame me then,” the female ghost shrugged.

“What about the bookshelf incident?” Xia Leyang asked again.

“That bookshelf was of poor quality,” the female ghost waved her hand, “I just sat on it out of boredom, and it happened to collapse.”

“Alright,” Xia Leyang retracted his head, looking back at the living room. Zhao Ying looked worried, and Shang Tingzhi was patiently comforting her.

“Is she your love rival?” the female ghost floated next to Xia Leyang and asked.

“What love rival?” Xia Leyang straightened his back, looking at the ghost inexplicably.

“Your boyfriend is so handsome. Aren’t you afraid of other girls stealing him?” The ghost glanced at Zhao Ying and then at Xia Leyang. “Her chest is much bigger than yours.”

“What kind of eyes do you have?” Xia Leyang frowned at the ghost. “Which eye saw him being my boyfriend?”

The ghost lifted her bangs and looked straight at Xia Leyang. “Both eyes.”

“…” Xia Leyang’s legs went numb from squatting. He moved to the other side of the stairs, sat down, and looked at the ghost. “You’re mistaken. My relationship with him is very pure.”

The ghost rolled her eyes. “You’re lying.”

Xia Leyang tilted his mouth down. “Believe it or not.”

“What about your touching and feeling last night? Do you think I’m blind?”

“You’re exaggerating,” Xia Leyang paused. “We were just reasonably fulfilling certain needs.”

Seeing the skeptical look of the ghost, Xia Leyang added, “This is how modern people are.”

The female ghost had long been out of touch with modern society, and Xia Leyang could only deceive her in this aspect. However, after saying this, Xia Leyang suddenly felt something was wrong. Why did he, an upright person, deceive the female ghost?

It made him seem guilty for some reason.

Zhao Ying came to find Shang Tingzhi because of the matter of Zhou Runhua building the cemetery.

She was Zhou Runhua’s special Feng Shui master, closely following the cemetery project. A few days ago, Zhou Runhua’s construction team dug out the burial chamber at the construction site. Zhou Runhua sealed everyone’s mouths about this matter and continued to build the cemetery.

“I know you don’t like meddling, but in this situation…” Zhao Ying hesitated and said, “It’s very likely that General Li’s tomb is below. This matter is significant, and I don’t know what to do.”

Previously, Shang Tingzhi had reminded Zhou Runhua that there might be a tomb under the construction site. Zhou Runhua said he would investigate it carefully, but now it seemed he didn’t take it seriously.

“Have you contacted anyone from the cultural relics bureau?” Shang Tingzhi asked.

“I don’t know anyone in that field,” Zhao Ying said. “And Mr. Zhou…”

Zhao Ying paused, pursed her lips, and continued, “He has a wide network of contacts. I don’t want to go against him.”

Shang Tingzhi remained silent for a moment, then asked, “Does he not want to affect the progress of the cemetery?”

“He can’t afford to be affected,” Zhao Ying said, “The matter of moving the grave involves many people. Now those urns are stacked in the warehouse, and he promised the families that the relocation would be completed before winter. If this matter is delayed, there will be a lot of trouble.”

The old address of the cemetery has already been sold to City First High School, so it cannot be relocated there. If General Li’s tomb is excavated, it will undoubtedly affect the construction of the cemetery.

“I understand,” Shang Tingzhi said. “I’ll find a way to talk to someone from the cultural relics bureau.”

Shang Tingzhi didn’t want to unnecessarily create enmity. He had once shown Feng Shui to an office director at the cultural relics bureau and sent him a message, subtly disclosing information about General Li’s tomb. After that, he didn’t bother with the matter.

As for whether the cultural relics bureau would intervene or if Zhou Runhua would use connections to take shortcuts, it had nothing to do with him.

Meanwhile, Xia Leyang, while eavesdropping on their conversation, chatted with the female ghost. In the end, he didn’t hear much, only vaguely catching that there was indeed a large tomb beneath the cemetery construction site.

However, Shang Tingzhi had no intention of hiding anything. He explained the situation roughly to Xia Leyang, who, apart from mild curiosity, didn’t feel much. After listening, he quickly forgot about it.

During the night, as was his habit, Xia Leyang tried to squeeze close to Shang Tingzhi. However, something strange happened. Every time he tried to get close, Shang Tingzhi would move away, maintaining a small distance between them.

The cold air from the air conditioner made Xia Leyang uncomfortable with the empty space beside him. Determined, he pressed against Shang Tingzhi again. However, since Shang Tingzhi was already pushed to the edge of the bed, he had no choice but to let Xia Leyang snuggle up to him.

“Why do you keep avoiding me?” Xia Leyang grabbed Shang Tingzhi’s shirt and lifted his head to look at him.

“It’s too hot,” Shang Tingzhi replied calmly, using force to loosen Xia Leyang’s claws grabbing his clothes.

“But the air conditioner is on, isn’t it?” Xia Leyang pouted, feeling a bit wronged. “How about you lower it a bit more?”

“Don’t need to.” Shang Tingzhi sighed helplessly. “I’m just holding it in.”

“Huh?” Xia Leyang looked at Shang Tingzhi strangely. “What are you holding in?”

Shang Tingzhi remained silent for a while, then raised his chin, looking at the culprit in his arms. In a low voice, he asked, “What do you think?”

Although Shang Tingzhi was not yet thirty, he paid great attention to self-care. He exercised regularly, went to bed and woke up on time, maintaining a disciplined lifestyle.

So, he absolutely hated the feeling of insomnia.

If it were someone else causing him insomnia, he would have exploded long ago. But facing the annoying little troublemaker, Xia Leyang, he just couldn’t get angry.

Xia Leyang wasn’t foolish either. He quickly realized that he had taken advantage last night, leaving Shang Tingzhi unsatisfied.

Thinking about last night, a strange feeling inexplicably arose in Xia Leyang’s heart. He fidgeted and pulled at the hem of Shang Tingzhi’s clothes, asking, “Do you need… me to help you?”

Shang Tingzhi paused for a moment, not expecting Xia Leyang to suggest such a thing voluntarily. Deep colors filled his eyes as he stared straight at Xia Leyang and asked, “How can you help?”

“Just…” Xia Leyang’s ears turned red, and his voice got smaller as he spoke. “Mutual assistance.”

Shang Tingzhi continued, “With hands or with mouth?” It would be even better if other parts were involved.

Of course, Shang Tingzhi wisely didn’t say the latter part out loud.

“Either is fine,” Xia Leyang mumbled softly. Influenced by the ghost sister, he was not so averse to certain things now. Plus, after last night’s unprecedented pleasure, if this could continue for a long time, it would be even better.

“Oh, by the way, let’s set some rules,” Xia Leyang suddenly thought of something. He looked at Shang Tingzhi with a serious expression. “I won’t hold the previous one against you, but from now on, let’s be fair. One turn each.”

“Okay,” Shang Tingzhi casually hooked the corner of his mouth, not bothering to remind Xia Leyang that one turn for him might equal several turns for Xia Leyang.

So, ten minutes later…

Shang Tingzhi, holding his private part, crouched at the head of the bed, almost fainting from the pain.

In the bathroom next door, Xia Leyang spat into the sink several times. When he lifted his head, he happened to see the female ghost sitting on the edge of the bathtub with her legs crossed. He turned around, walked up to the ghost, and opened his mouth to ask her, “Ghost sister, can you check if there’s something stuck in my teeth?”
