Chapter 33

Philosophers need solitude every day, and dog owners need to walk their dogs every day.

Xiang Mo just hasn’t developed the habit of taking the dog for a walk by himself yet. Occasionally, he forgets that Sanmao needs to go out every day. However, he knows deep down that unless it’s something very urgent, nothing is more important than walking the dog.

Because Sanmao doesn’t relieve himself at home, holding it in for too long is not good for his health.

All it takes is for Du Chi to remind him that Sanmao hasn’t been out yet, and Xiang Mo would put aside whatever he’s doing.

But Du Chi didn’t remind him this time.

So, this annoying dog is retaliating because Xiang Mo didn’t let him kiss him.

After washing up, Xiang Mo returned to the bedroom and locked the door. As expected, after a while, there was a knock on the door.

“Wife?” Du Chi twisted the doorknob, his voice carrying a hint of surprise, as if he didn’t expect Xiang Mo to be so decisive. “Are you sure you want to lock the door?”

Xiang Mo stopped his brush and looked at the time. Usually, Du Chi’s dog-walking took at least half an hour, but today it only took less than twenty minutes.

The anger in his heart had diminished somewhat, but it wouldn’t change Xiang Mo’s mind.

“You really won’t open the door?” Du Chi asked again.

Xiang Mo simply put on his earphones.

The layers of oil paint overlapped, and on the paper, a gorgeous and vibrant rose bloomed. Green vines grew freely, accentuating the flowers’ vitality with their exuberance.

In retrospect, the old street with its tall trees, red walls, and black tiles was surrounded by beautiful scenery, but Xiang Mo rarely paid attention.

If it weren’t for a certain withered corner of his heart blooming again, he wouldn’t have this leisurely and refined mindset.

Finally, he added a layer of bright red, and the layers of petals finally satisfied Xiang Mo.

But just then, his paintbrush was suddenly pulled away, and it felt as if he had encountered a ghost while walking at night, almost scaring his soul away.

When he turned around, he saw Du Chi standing behind him, admiring his surprised expression with interest.

“How did you get in?” Xiang Mo took off his earphones, staring at the bedroom door in disbelief. If the door had been opened before, he wouldn’t have missed it.

Du Chi didn’t answer but pointed to the window with his chin.

In the summer, Xiang Mo didn’t have the habit of closing the windows at night. Realizing what Du Chi meant, he quickly walked to the window and looked outside incredulously, “Did you climb through the window?!”

There was an air-conditioning unit outside the window, as well as some architectural decorations, providing enough foothold space.

But the problem was, Xiang Mo retracted his gaze, furrowing his brow as he glared at Du Chi, “Are you crazy? What if you fall?”

“It won’t happen.” Following Xiang Mo, Du Chi embraced his waist from behind. “I used to climb out of the window to play when I was a kid.”

“And you’re still a kid now?” Xiang Mo’s mind was on fire with anger. “Can adults do things the way they did as children?”

Xiang Mo couldn’t imagine that a person in his late twenties could still act like a child.

Du Chi playfully leaned in close to Xiang Mo’s ear, biting his earlobe, “Then who locked the door? Huh? Who made me climb through the window?”

The scorching breath made Xiang Mo’s ear root itchy, and he shrank his neck, trying to push Du Chi away. “It’s not that, do you have no sense of reason?”

Just now in the kitchen, who poured cold water on him?

“I don’t have enough condoms, I’m going out to buy some, and you just lock me out. Are you really so heartless?” Du Chi put his chin on Xiang Mo’s shoulder, seemingly accepting the criticism but instead criticizing Xiang Mo, “You want me to use one condom three times? Are you sure you won’t resist?”

He needed to walk the dog and buy condoms. It was indeed not the right timing just now.

But what kind of twisted logic was this? Wasn’t there a better way to talk about it? This annoying dog was obviously doing it on purpose.

“Du Chi.” Xiang Mo turned around, looking at Du Chi sternly, his momentum much stronger than before. “Don’t think that I’m a sick kitten just because the tiger doesn’t show its might.”

Xiang Mo liked to be in control, and he didn’t want to raise a mischievous large dog that would make him worried all day.

But to his surprise, Du Chi didn’t take his seriousness seriously at all. Taking advantage of Xiang Mo turning around, he directly kissed his lips. “Aren’t you just a little kitty?”

Du Chi’s agile tongue skillfully entered Xiang Mo’s mouth, making him forget his intention to discipline this annoying dog.

He really didn’t dislike kissing Du Chi.

His hands involuntarily wrapped around Du Chi’s neck, and he even raised his chin to seek more.

Originally, Xiang Mo thought that he would only have the impulse to kiss when he was drunk, but he didn’t expect to accept Du Chi’s kiss while being sober, and it was different from the wild and crazy passion.

The roses on the paper became more and more splendid, breaking through the limitations of the paper and filling the entire room.

After a while, Du Chi reluctantly let go of Xiang Mo and hoarsely asked, “Go to the bed?”

After a pause, he added, “Or the kitchen?”

Not mentioning the kitchen was fine, but as soon as the kitchen was mentioned, Xiang Mo got angry again.

Xiang Mo knew that Du Chi was intentionally teasing him, playing with their intimacy, but why should he obediently cooperate?

Putting away the momentary infatuation in his eyes, Xiang Mo turned his face away and deliberately said, “I still need to paint.”

True to his words, he went back to the easel and picked up the paintbrush again.

Du Chi raised an eyebrow, standing still as he carefully observed Xiang Mo’s expression, as if trying to see through any pretense. But Xiang Mo’s expression was flawless, focused and indifferent.

After a while, Du Chi chuckled lightly, taking off his shirt.

“Artist,” he called out, “I’ll strip for you to paint.”

After walking the dog, Du Chi changed into casual wear. After taking off his short-sleeved shirt, he was left with loose sleeping shorts hanging around his waist.

His tanned skin suddenly exposed to the air, and the muscles in various parts of his body were perfectly defined.

Xiang Mo felt like he could sense the warmth of the skin with his fingertips, and the direction of the brush inadvertently deviated.

“Damn it, I should buy body painting pigments.”

“Well then, use something else to paint,” Du Chi said as he walked to Xiang Mo’s side, taking the paintbrush from his hand and holding his hand back. He led Xiang Mo’s index finger to trace the grooves of his abdominal muscles. “Paint however you want.”

This sneaky dog used his body to tempt him.

Xiang Mo’s fingers were already out of control, independently exploring along the grooves and slipping into Du Chi’s sleeping shorts.

“Well then, you better strip completely,” Xiang Mo said.

Rolling the bedsheets until the end is very different from simply getting some sexual release.

Apart from pleasure, there was also a sense of emotional blending. Every kiss was more tender, and every penetration was more intense. When they finally climaxed, Xiang Mo bit Du Chi’s lip and faintly realized that he seemed different from before.

He seemed to have a strong possessiveness towards Du Chi and wanted to claim this man as his own.

Xiang Mo couldn’t tell if it was because he had been single for too long, but when this terrifying thought came to his mind, he was frightened by it.

“Wife?” Du Chi lay on top of Xiang Mo, kissing his scapula. “Are you going to go again?”

“Of course.” Once was definitely not enough. Xiang Mo put aside his thoughts and didn’t want to overthink it.

After all, they had a whole month ahead of them, and he could slowly extinguish this dangerous notion.

The next day was Sunday, and they had class at 10 a.m.

Xiang Mo woke up and checked the time. He had planned to sleep a bit longer, but the scratching sound of Sanmao and the quarrel from the neighbors made it impossible for him to return to dreamland.

Du Chi was also awakened by the intense argument. He buried himself under the blanket, his head against Xiang Mo’s shoulder, sounding very dissatisfied, “Is Master Zhao back?”

“Seems like it,” Xiang Mo said in a hoarse voice, feeling sore all over as he sat up on the bed.

The argument next door was about trivial matters, and Xiang Mo didn’t have the habit of prying into other people’s affairs.

He rubbed the back of his neck, looking at Du Chi, who also seemed a bit tired, and said, “We can’t do this again.”

“Mhm?” Du Chi lazily responded with a single sound.

“Moderation is important,” Xiang Mo said, “It shouldn’t affect our daytime activities.”

“Are you reminding me?” Du Chi raised an eyebrow, propping himself up with one hand. “Who was riding on top of me last night and refused to come down?”

“That’s different,” Xiang Mo’s ears turned red, “That’s because when I got down, you wanted to pin me back on the bed…”

“Intense lovemaking,” Xiang Mo couldn’t bring himself to say those words.

“…So I didn’t get down, that’s not the same as indulging in desires.”

“Then who was the one who wanted it the last time last night?” Du Chi asked again.

“You,” Xiang Mo pretended to be clueless, “You were like a horny male dog in heat.”

“Xiang Mo,” Du Chi narrowed his eyes, “I’ll have to educate you properly.”

Educate? Xiang Mo raised an eyebrow.

“Last night, it was clearly you who asked if we could do it again. Since you said it was me, then okay,” Du Chi said as he pressed Xiang Mo down, “Then let me make up for it now.”

“Du Chi!” Xiang Mo quickly held back Du Chi’s mischievous hand, “I have to go to class!”

“Let’s make it quick.”

Unless it’s done in five minutes, there’s no time. But is it really necessary to rush and enjoy five minutes?

“I don’t have time!” As a rational adult, Xiang Mo felt there was no need for this.

“It won’t delay you for class.”

Du Chi had already found Xiang Mo’s sensitive spots. Initially, Xiang Mo was very firm, but somehow reason and emotion began to tug at him.

After a moment, he gradually relaxed the strength in his hands, and his legs instinctively wrapped around Du Chi’s waist.

“Just give you five minutes.”

But as soon as Xiang Mo said this, the doorbell downstairs suddenly rang.

Thinking it was a student who had arrived, Xiang Mo felt a bit panicked, but looking at the time, it was only a little past 9:40, so it shouldn’t be any students coming so early.

The doorbell rang again, and the passionate five minutes had to be abandoned.

Xiang Mo put on his clothes and went downstairs. To his surprise, the person standing outside the door was Zhao Xiaoqiao.

He couldn’t help but feel curious. Zhao Xiaoqiao should be at school studying at this time, and her appearance seemed very abnormal.

“Xiang-ge,” Zhao Xiaoqiao’s eyes were red, and her face had a clear handprint, “My parents found out about my boyfriend. Can I stay here for a while?”

Well, Xiang Mo thought, indeed, love is not just about sweetness; it comes with various troubles as well.
