Looking up at the tall building in front of him, Qingqing was completely stunned. He followed Wen Shu out of the car and into the building, swiping a card to get inside and then taking the elevator up. It was only when he saw Wen Shu press the floor button that he reacted, “Why did you move here?”

Wen Shu replied, “Because it’s closer to you.”

This answer warmed Qingqing’s heart, making him a bit worried. “Moving is such a hassle, and the rent here seems quite expensive…”

Wen Shu said, “It’s not a hassle. I just bought everything new.”

Before Qingqing could fully understand what he meant, the elevator doors opened.

This building had a layout where each floor had only one apartment, so as soon as the elevator reached their floor, they were at Wen Shu’s place. Wen Shu used facial recognition to unlock the door, and the lights inside automatically turned on. He opened the door and smiled at Qingqing, “Please come in.”

Qingqing stared at the unfamiliar place, feeling a bit timid. It took him a moment to gather the courage to step inside. Wen Shu handed him a pair of slippers to change into, and changed into a pair himself. The air smelled faintly of wood. The entryway opened into a spacious living room with a bright, open layout.

Qingqing now understood what Wen Shu meant by “just buy everything new.” Everything in the house was brand new, from the furniture to the appliances, all vibrant and spotless. Qingqing stammered, realizing something he hadn’t considered before, “Is your family… well-off?”

Wen Shu thought seriously before answering, “Pretty good.”

Qingqing felt a bit awkward, “But it’s such a waste. The old stuff could still be used. Buying everything new must be really expensive.”

Wen Shu looked puzzled, “But if I moved everything, the old place would be empty.”

Qingqing felt like they were talking past each other. Just as he was about to explain what he meant, Wen Shu smiled and invited him, “Want to take a tour? I moved here so quickly that I haven’t had a chance to look around myself.”

So, they began exploring the apartment.

The place was spacious, with four bedrooms and two living rooms. Besides a large balcony, there was also a sky garden. The garden was filled with potted plants and flowers, beautifully arranged, with a hanging basket adorned with star-shaped lights that lit up when you sat in it.

“This is so pretty. The air here is so fresh.” Qingqing gradually grew excited. He played in the hanging basket for a while, then leaned over the railing to look down. His eyes suddenly lit up, and he called out, “You can see my family’s barbecue shop from here, Wen Shu, come look!”

Wen Shu walked over with a smile, not surprised at all. “That was part of my requirement.”

Qingqing’s heart skipped a beat. He looked up at Wen Shu, “You bought this place so you could see my family’s shop?”

Wen Shu replied, “So I could see you.”

Pressed close together, they couldn’t help but embrace. One looked up, the other down, and they shared their first kiss.

Qingqing hadn’t been close to anyone in a long time and was very tense. He started breathing heavily before their lips even touched, his eyes wet, and his lips trembling. Wen Shu, also nervous, stared at Qingqing’s red lips before finally kissing him.

This thought came amid the nervousness, as Wen Shu merely pressed his lips against Qingqing’s, doing nothing else, awkward like a first kiss. Wen Shu seemed frustrated, feeling it wasn’t enough but unsure what more to do.

The kiss turned into a French kiss, and Qingqing’s lesson was very effective. Wen Shu soon took control, his tongue exploring Qingqing’s mouth with increasing intensity, until Qingqing could hardly breathe and had to pull away.

When they separated, their mouths were still wet from each other’s saliva, and both their faces were as red as monkeys’ behinds. Qingqing’s heart raced, his sensitive body still trembling slightly.
