Chapter 48
That day, Xiao Yi continued to tease Fu Yu from the afternoon until evening. All the company’s employees had left, and the building was silent.
Fortunately, there were complete facilities in the rest area, including a bathroom. Xiao Yi gave the exhausted Fu Yu a quick wash, helped him put on clothes, and then took the elevator directly to the garage. He drove back home, making sure to have his long-time butler, A Li, come to clean up the messy office and rest area.
When A Li arrived and opened the office door, he was instantly shocked by the disorderly scene and the lingering post-coital atmosphere. He then scolded his young master for being quite the scoundrel.
Because Fu Yu had been pushed beyond his limits, he couldn’t wake up on time to go to work the next day. Xiao Yi, in the following days, felt somewhat neglected. However, everything was set for their planned visit to Xiao Yi’s house on the weekend, and Fu Yu honored his commitment.
In the car, the two sat together in the back seat. Xiao Yi watched Fu Yu, who appeared to be enjoying the view outside. He carefully asked, “Yu Yu, are you still mad at me?”
Fu Yu turned to look at him and seemed about to say something but closed his mouth when he saw A Li driving. Xiao Yi immediately raised the partition between the front and back seats, making sure A Li couldn’t hear.
“He can’t hear us now. Feel free to say what you want,” Xiao Yi reassured Fu Yu.
Fu Yu considered for a moment and then said, “I’m not angry, but your lack of control did take a toll on me.”
Xiao Yi asked with concern, “Do you feel uncomfortable?”
“I don’t feel uncomfortable,” Fu Yu replied earnestly, “but towards the end, I felt like my body was no longer under my control, and I didn’t know what I was doing. That feeling was a bit scary.”
Xiao Yi chuckled softly, “So, not feeling uncomfortable means it’s quite comfortable?”
Fu Yu frowned and admonished the smiling Xiao Yi, “Don’t laugh. I’m serious. I’ll try to control myself in the future.”
Xiao Yi asked with curiosity, “Then why didn’t you refuse me? Would I be unhappy if you did?”
“Refusing you would have dampened your enthusiasm, right?” Fu Yu replied without hesitation, then hesitated and asked, “Can I refuse? Would you be unhappy?”
Xiao Yi’s heart felt both sweet and warm. He was teased by Fu Yu’s innocence and replied with a trace of playfulness, “Of course not. If you ever feel overwhelmed, just say, ‘No, stop,’ and I’ll understand.”
Fu Yu nodded, thinking this method was quite reasonable. Little did he know how much trouble he’d get into because he readily believed Xiao Yi’s seemingly insincere words.
The car arrived at Xiao Yi’s mansion in the suburban estate. Fu Yu chose not to have the butler’s assistance and personally carried a stack of prepared gifts for the visit.
All the members of the Xiao family were gathered in the estate, except for Xiao Yi’s grandfather, who was away on business. They seemed to take Fu Yu’s visit quite seriously.
Fu Yu had been to the Xiao residence before, and he wasn’t entirely unfamiliar with Xiao Yi’s parents. Although the purpose of his visit had changed drastically, the attitude of Xiao Yi’s parents hadn’t shifted much. They had more or less accepted the fact that Fu Yu was part of their lives now. Xiao Yi’s sister, who was often abroad, was open-minded and had no qualms about accepting her “sister-in-law.”
However, Xiao Yi’s older brother, Xiao Yongqing, still didn’t seem to have a high opinion of him. After a harmonious lunch, Xiao Yongqing pulled Fu Yu aside for a private “chat.”
He got straight to the point, asking, “Are you serious about this?”
Fu Yu replied firmly, “I am. I understand that I’ve caused a lot of problems in the past, and it’s my fault. But I’m committed to showing you through my actions how serious I am.”
Xiao Yongqing scrutinized him for a few seconds, sighed, and said, “Well, since my grandfather has approved of you, I don’t need to interrogate you further.”
“Thank you,” Fu Yu nodded slightly.
“Why do I always feel like every time I talk to you, things between you two progress even more smoothly?” Xiao Yongqing said somewhat frustrated. It seemed that every time he talked to Fu Yu, their relationship took a significant step forward.
Fu Yu’s eyes softened as he replied, “I do appreciate your help.”
After their conversation, Fu Yu spent the night at Xiao Yi’s house. Despite having numerous guest rooms, Xiao Yi insisted that Fu Yu stay in his own bedroom.
Xiao Yi’s bedroom was quite spacious and included a private theater. He smiled at Fu Yu and asked, “Do you remember the first movie you watched when you came to my house?”
Fu Yu recalled, “Beautiful Thing?” He vaguely remembered it was a movie with a gay theme. At the time, he didn’t think much of it, but now he realized that Xiao Yi had likely chosen it on purpose.
“…You have a really good memory,” Xiao Yi applauded Fu Yu for his impressive recollection.
“Because it was the first time I visited a friend’s house, so the memory is quite vivid,” Fu Yu explained. “You probably remember it too, right?”
!
Xiao Yi shrugged, “I remember the name, but I can’t recall the content. I do remember that you were unusually wearing a casual T-shirt that day, looking especially handsome, and you sat next to me. I mustered the courage to put my arm around your shoulder, and you didn’t push me away. I couldn’t care less about the movie; my mind was filled with thoughts of you and your warmth.”
Upon hearing this, Fu Yu lightly cleared his throat and raised his hand to partially shield his slightly blushing face. “When you put it that way, I feel a bit shy.”
Xiao Yi’s heart skipped a beat. He moved closer, taking hold of Fu Yu’s hand and whispered, “You get shy too, even though you were so bold with me during our intimate moments.”
“I… because I wanted to be with you, so it felt alright,” in Fu Yu’s perspective, making love was a normal act between lovers, a physical and emotional union that brought mutual satisfaction. He desired Xiao Yi, and Xiao Yi desired him. There was nothing embarrassing about it. However, these sweet words made him feel a bit shy.
Fu Yu’s response had an almost lethal impact on Xiao Yi. He reached out, caressing Fu Yu’s cheek, his voice slightly husky, “Do you know that unintentional seduction is the most deadly?”
Fu Yu didn’t quite grasp the meaning, but Xiao Yi hadn’t expected him to. Instead, he replaced all words with a gentle and tender kiss.
In the end, under Xiao Yi’s persistent coaxing, they made love on the sofa in front of the home theater. They were mindful of being at home, and Fu Yu had just mentioned the need for restraint. Xiao Yi indeed showed remarkable self-control, but this time, their encounter was gentle and extended. Their passionate body heat and affectionate gazes seemed to melt the very air around them.
