Chapter 91
Su Bin didn’t dare to look at Allen’s expression. After saying “Master” earlier, his ears had turned red with embarrassment.
Contrasted against the hour-long period of low spirits, Allen’s tenderness at this moment made Su Bin feel especially happy. He realized that his previous hesitation had been pointless. If he had known, he would have tried to make amends sooner, so he wouldn’t have felt so miserable all alone for so long.
Su Bin carefully considered Allen’s words, and indeed, they were right. He might have impulsively replied to those two messages due to his emotions, but there was no real benefit to him. In hindsight, he would probably regret his foolish and self-deprecating actions.
As for what it felt like for Chen Xiaotian to not receive a reply, Su Bin had experienced that many times before. After Chen Xiaotian had proposed a breakup, all the messages he sent her vanished into thin air. No one answered his calls. He had suffered through weeks of torment and agony until he gradually found his peace.
“…Still thinking about her?” Allen pinched Su Bin’s earlobe.
Su Bin: “Not anymore…”
Allen rolled over and pinned him down, raising an eyebrow. “Really?”
Su Bin: “…” Well, just a bit… orz…
Allen pressed him down, saying, “Do you hate her?”
Su Bin: “Um…”
When they had broken up, he hadn’t hated her. He had felt sad and hurt. It wasn’t until he learned that Chen Xiaotian was dating Huang Zhengming that he had developed a feeling of being deceived and betrayed. Having hatred in one’s heart was a hundred times worse than self-pity. Moreover, this hatred was accompanied by emotions that were hard to let go of. Every time he thought about it, he felt aching all over.
“Hating is not allowed either. You belong to me…” After saying this, Allen kissed him, diverting his attention back to himself.
While enduring Allen’s passionate kisses, Su Bin’s hazy mind drifted… If it weren’t for Allen appearing by his side during those most painful moments, he didn’t know how he would have ended up… Mmm~ Don’t eat my tongue!
Allen released him, squinting his eyes and whispering, “If you keep thinking about other things, I wouldn’t mind doing what we did that morning for the whole afternoon… Make your back a little more uncomfortable.”
Su Bin stiffened in fear. “I… I won’t think about anything!”
After forging this spiritual bond with Allen, his shattered soul seemed to have gained new energy… Therefore, compared to Chen Xiaotian’s messages, the person in front of him was of much greater importance!
Allen pinched his cheek. “You don’t like it?”
Su Bin: “…” It’s not that I don’t like it; it’s just that it’s broad daylight, forgive his thin face o////o
Allen chuckled softly, then pressed him down to play with kisses and touches. He teased him for a while before letting him go.
Su Bin didn’t unblock Chen Xiaotian from his blacklist, but he was curious about how she found out about his plan to drop out of school. He thought of the close relationship between counselors and students and immediately sat up. “Allen, I want to go to an internet cafe…”
Allen: “Internet cafe? You want to go online?”
“Yeah.” Su Bin wanted to access the university’s social network, see what his classmates were talking about. He felt like he had no privacy left.
Allen grabbed the sleek notebook computer from the bedside table, put it on his lap, set up a sub-account, and handed it to Su Bin. “Use this.”
Su Bin was stunned for a moment as he received this “high-tech product”. He had noticed that Allen always carried this laptop with him. It was thinner than Su Bin’s own laptop by more than half, and the silver-gray metal casing looked incredibly cool.
Unfortunately, laptops were quite personal devices. Su Bin was curious, but he had never dared to ask about it, fearing he would intrude on Allen’s privacy. He hadn’t expected Allen to hand it over for his use without any hesitation!
However, Su Bin wasn’t familiar with the operating system of the laptop, and it was entirely in English. He didn’t even know how to open a web page, so he looked at Allen for help.
Allen pulled Su Bin into his embrace, placing the laptop on Su Bin’s crossed legs. He reached around his waist to help him operate it. After opening the browser and entering the website Su Bin wanted, Allen showed him some basic actions and whispered in his ear, “Do you understand?”
“Um…” Su Bin felt ticklish and leaned away, but Allen’s arms encircled him, leaving him no escape except leaning forward or leaning back.
Allen chuckled softly. “You work on it, I’ll watch.”
Su Bin didn’t mind. After all, Allen couldn’t understand Chinese anyway.
Once he logged into the university’s social network, Allen commented from behind him, “Look at all those messages. You’re quite popular.”
Su Bin jumped in surprise. “You can understand Chinese?”
Allen pointed to the upper right corner of the screen, where there were nearly a thousand unread messages and private messages. “This layout is similar to Facebook.”
Su Bin asked, “Do you have Facebook?”
Allen: “No, but my friends do. They enjoy using it.”
Su Bin turned his head to ask, “Why don’t you use it?”
Chen Xiaotian didn’t use the university’s social network either, citing that it was a waste of time. At the time, Su Bin had thought Chen Xiaotian was impressive for saying such things. He himself hadn’t been able to quit even though he wanted to.
Su Bin had expected Allen to offer a similar response, but instead, he calmly said, “I don’t need ‘expression’ to find my sense of existence, nor do I require ‘spectacle’ to achieve self-identity.”
Su Bin: “…”
Allen’s words were too profound, making Su Bin feel inferior. At first, he was stunned, but then he realized the wisdom in Allen’s words. His admiration for Allen surged to a new level… After all, he could never articulate something so sophisticated.
Su Bin refocused his attention on the messages on the screen, but suddenly, he didn’t have the urge to read them anymore.
He hadn’t used the university’s social network before to avoid people’s discussions and to save face. He had put a lot of effort into his profile, even buying VIP membership. At one point, he had taken pride in having a friend count reaching five digits… but in reality? When he was heartbroken, he couldn’t find anyone to talk to! Sigh, Su Bin suddenly felt like he was a failure as a person…
However, unlike Su Bin’s current thoughts, Allen was quite curious about his world. “Let’s see what those people who messaged you are saying.”
Su Bin clicked on his message board. The latest dozen or so messages were all related to his decision to drop out. Some inquired about the truth, some offered comforting words like a counselor would, and some expressed disbelief and shock… Su Bin skimmed through them one by one, without any intention of replying.
“They all know about me dropping out,” Su Bin explained to Allen.
Allen: “Hmm, rumors spread like wildfire.”
Allen squinted his eyes. “Is that all?” He clearly saw the heart symbol!
“Um, there are also confessions…” Su Bin felt particularly nervous saying this for some reason. However, he quickly realized that Allen didn’t consider him as a lover, and he had even told him not to like him. So, he shouldn’t get jealous or anything, right?
Just as this thought crossed Su Bin’s mind, he felt a tightening around his waist and heard a cold hum near his ear.
Su Bin: “…” Sorry, schoolmates, I no longer have the freedom… orz…
Su Bin stopped scrolling and returned to the main page. He saw that his friends had reposted a trending post a few minutes ago. The title of the post was unexpectedly “The Disillusionment of Campus Romance: An Analysis of the Love between Provincial University’s Famous Su Bin and Chen Xiaotian!”
Su Bin was completely shocked. He quickly clicked on it and saw that the post had been published around 11 AM, but it had already been reposted over a hundred times by alumni!
At the beginning of the post were photos of Su Bin and Chen Xiaotian from high school, not pictures taken together but rather individual photos of them during their youthful days. Su Bin didn’t know who had taken these photos, but one was handsome and the other beautiful, showing their youthful charm.
However, Su Bin didn’t see it that way. He felt that his high school self was awkward and silly, and he wished he could pluck those images from the screen and crumple them up!
“Is this you?” Allen slightly opened his eyes.
Su Bin awkwardly nodded, intending to slide the touchpad and skip over the pictures. However, Allen suddenly moved his hand away from Su Bin’s and quickly saved the image right in front of him.
Su Bin: “Ah…” No! My embarrassing history QAQ…
With one hand preventing Su Bin from stopping him and the other rapidly controlling the computer, Allen scanned through the post. Su Bin noticed that there were more pictures below, including ones of him in Country B (how did they get these?). The entire post contained around seven or eight pictures, and Allen saved them all.
Su Bin had already forgotten about Allen saving his pictures. He returned to the touchpad and hurriedly scrolled back, reading the entire post from beginning to end. He felt his whole body shiver with horror!
The post began with their high school romance and touched on their breakup, the university’s sensational pursuit, and even their study abroad in their third year. The early part was understandable; Su Bin often posted on the university’s social network, and he didn’t have many secrets, so that part occupied a significant portion.
However, what disturbed Su Bin was a small section toward the end of the post. The author mentioned Su Bin working to buy a ring for his girlfriend but getting dumped halfway through. The part about his job even included a picture of him cooking instant noodles in a club. While some elements were fabricated, the author managed to bring up a secret Su Bin had intended to bury deep in his heart!
This post made Su Bin feel like his life had been thoroughly exposed to the public. He felt a chill run down his spine, accompanied by an overwhelming sense of anger. He glanced at the author’s name, which showed they were also from Provincial University, but he didn’t recognize them at all!
Trembling, Su Bin sent a private message: “whoareyou?” Allen’s computer didn’t have Chinese input enabled.
The response came quickly: “Holy crap, I actually received a message from the main character! You haven’t been on the university’s social network for a long time, have you? Did you see my post? I’m seeking justice for you! What do you think?”
Su Bin was bewildered. Seeking justice? What the hell is wrong with this lunatic?
The person quickly replied again: “I’m not anyone special. I’m your fan. I’ve been following you!”
Su Bin was dumbfounded. Holy crap, is this person a real-life stalker or something?
